¹Yahweh said to Noah, “Come with all of your household into the ship, for I have seen your righteousness before me in this generation.

² You shall take seven pairs of every clean animal with you, the male and his female. Of the animals that are not clean, take two, the male and his female.

³ Also of the birds of the sky, seven and seven, male and female, to keep seed alive on the surface of all the earth.

⁴ In seven days, I will cause it to rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights. I will destroy every living thing that I have made from the surface of the ground.”

⁵ Noah did everything that Yahweh commanded him.

KJVAnd Noah^H5146 did^H6213^(H8799) according unto all that the LORD^H3068 commanded^H6680^(H8765) him.

⁶ Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came on the earth.

KJVAnd Noah^H5146 was six^H8337 hundred^H3967 years^H8141 old^H1121 when the flood^H3999 of waters^H4325 was upon the earth^H776.

⁷ Noah went into the ship with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives, because of the floodwaters.

KJVAnd Noah^H5146 went in^H935^(H8799), and his sons^H1121, and his wife^H802, and his sons^H1121' wives^H802 with him, into the ark^H8392, because of^H6440 the waters^H4325 of the flood^H3999.

⁸ Clean animals, unclean animals, birds, and everything that creeps on the ground

KJVOf clean^H2889 beasts^H929, and of beasts^H929 that are not clean^H2889, and of fowls^H5775, and of every thing that creepeth^H7430^(H8802) upon the earth^H127,

⁹ went by pairs to Noah into the ship, male and female, as God commanded Noah.

¹⁰ After the seven days, the floodwaters came on the earth.

KJVAnd it came to pass after seven^H7651 days^H3117, that the waters^H4325 of the flood^H3999 were upon the earth^H776.

¹¹ In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the sky’s windows opened.

¹³ In the same day Noah, and Shem, Ham, and Japheth—the sons of Noah—and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ship—

¹⁴ they, and every animal after its kind, all the livestock after their kind, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort.

¹⁵ Pairs from all flesh with the breath of life in them went into the ship to Noah.

KJVAnd they went in^H935^(H8799) unto Noah^H5146 into the ark^H8392, two^H8147 and two^H8147 of all flesh^H1320, wherein^H834 is the breath^H7307 of life^H2416.

¹⁶ Those who went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God commanded him; then Yahweh shut him in.

KJVAnd they that went in^H935^(H8802), went in^H935^(H8804) male^H2145 and female^H5347 of all flesh^H1320, as God^H430 had commanded^H6680^(H8765) him: and the LORD^H3068 shut him in^H5462^(H8799).

¹⁷ The flood was forty days on the earth. The waters increased, and lifted up the ship, and it was lifted up above the earth.

KJVAnd the flood^H3999 was forty^H705 days^H3117 upon the earth^H776; and the waters^H4325 increased^H7235^(H8799), and bare up^H5375^(H8799) the ark^H8392, and it was lift up^H7311^(H8799) above the earth^H776.

¹⁸ The waters rose, and increased greatly on the earth; and the ship floated on the surface of the waters.

¹⁹ The waters rose very high on the earth. All the high mountains that were under the whole sky were covered.

KJVAnd the waters^H4325 prevailed^H1396^(H8804) exceedingly^H3966^H3966 upon the earth^H776; and all the high^H1364 hills^H2022, that were under^H8478 the whole heaven^H8064, were covered^H3680^(H8792).

²⁰ The waters rose fifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered.

²¹ All flesh died that moved on the earth, including birds, livestock, animals, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.

²² All on the dry land, in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died.

²³ Every living thing was destroyed that was on the surface of the ground, including man, livestock, creeping things, and birds of the sky. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ship.

²⁴ The waters flooded the earth one hundred fifty days.

¹When men began to multiply on the surface of the ground, and daughters were born to them,

² God’s sons saw that men’s daughters were beautiful, and they took any that they wanted for themselves as wives.

³ Yahweh said, “My Spirit will not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; so his days will be one hundred twenty years.”

KJVAnd the LORD^H3068 said^H559^(H8799), My spirit^H7307 shall not always^H5769 strive^H1777^(H8799) with man^H120, for that he also^H1571^(H8677)^H7683^(H8800) is flesh^H1320: yet his days^H3117 shall be an hundred^H3967 and twenty^H6242 years^H8141.

⁴ The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also after that, when God’s sons came in to men’s daughters and had children with them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

KJVThere were giants^H5303 in the earth^H776 in those days^H3117; and also after^H310 that^H3651, when^H834 the sons^H1121 of God^H430 came in^H935^(H8799) unto the daughters^H1323 of men^H120, and they bare^H3205^(H8804) children to them, the same^H1992 became mighty men^H1368 which were of old^H5769, men^H582 of renown^H8034.

⁵ Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of man’s heart was continually only evil.

KJVAnd GOD^H3068 saw^H7200^(H8799) that the wickedness^H7451 of man^H120 was great^H7227 in the earth^H776, and that every imagination^H3336 of the thoughts^H4284 of his heart^H3820 was only^H7535 evil^H7451 continually^H3117.

⁶ Yahweh was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart.

KJVAnd it repented^H5162^(H8735) the LORD^H3068 that he had made^H6213^(H8804) man^H120 on the earth^H776, and it grieved^H6087^(H8691) him at^H413 his heart^H3820.

⁷ Yahweh said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the surface of the ground—man, along with animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky—for I am sorry that I have made them.”

KJVAnd the LORD^H3068 said^H559^(H8799), I will destroy^H4229^(H8799) man^H120 whom I have created^H1254^(H8804) from the face^H6440 of the earth^H127; both man^H120, and^H5704 beast^H929, and the creeping thing^H7431, and the fowls^H5775 of the air^H8064; for it repenteth^H5162^(H8738) me that I have made^H6213^(H8804) them.

⁸ But Noah found favor in Yahweh’s eyes.

⁹ This is the history of the generations of Noah: Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Noah walked with God.

KJVThese are the generations^H8435 of Noah^H5146: Noah^H5146 was a just^H6662 man^H376 and perfect^H8549 in his generations^H1755, and Noah^H5146 walked^H1980^(H8694) with God^H430.

¹⁰ Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

KJVAnd Noah^H5146 begat^H3205^(H8686) three^H7969 sons^H1121, Shem^H8035, Ham^H2526, and Japheth^H3315.

¹¹ The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

KJVThe earth^H776 also was corrupt^H7843^(H8735) before^H6440 God^H430, and the earth^H776 was filled^H4390^(H8735) with violence^H2555.

¹² God saw the earth, and saw that it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.

¹³ God said to Noah, “I will bring an end to all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them and the earth.

¹⁴ Make a ship of gopher wood. You shall make rooms in the ship, and shall seal it inside and outside with pitch.

KJVMake^H6213^(H8798) thee an ark^H8392 of gopher^H1613 wood^H6086; rooms^H7064 shalt thou make^H6213^(H8799) in^H854 the ark^H8392, and shalt pitch^H3722^(H8804) it within^H1004 and without^H2351 with pitch^H3724.

¹⁵ This is how you shall make it. The length of the ship shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.

KJVAnd this is the fashion which thou shalt make^H6213^(H8799) it of: The length^H753 of the ark^H8392 shall be three^H7969 hundred^H3967 cubits^H520, the breadth^H7341 of it fifty^H2572 cubits^H520, and the height^H6967 of it thirty^H7970 cubits^H520.

¹⁶ You shall make a roof in the ship, and you shall finish it to a cubit upward. You shall set the door of the ship in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third levels.

¹⁷ I, even I, will bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is on the earth will die.

KJVAnd, behold^H2009, I^H589, even I, do bring^H935^(H8688) a flood^H3999 of waters^H4325 upon the earth^H776, to destroy^H7843^(H8763) all flesh^H1320, wherein is the breath^H7307 of life^H2416, from under^H8478 heaven^H8064; and every thing^H3605 that is in the earth^H776 shall die^H1478^(H8799).

¹⁸ But I will establish my covenant with you. You shall come into the ship, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.

¹⁹ Of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ship, to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female.

²⁰ Of the birds after their kind, of the livestock after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort will come to you, to keep them alive.

²¹ Take with you some of all food that is eaten, and gather it to yourself; and it will be for food for you, and for them.”

²² Thus Noah did. He did all that God commanded him.
