¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

² “Speak to the children of Israel, that they take an offering for me. From everyone whose heart makes him willing you shall take my offering.

⁴ blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair,

⁵ rams’ skins dyed red, sea cow hides, acacia wood,

⁶ oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense,

⁷ onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate.

⁸ Let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.

⁹ According to all that I show you, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all of its furniture, even so you shall make it.

¹⁰ “They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Its length shall be two and a half cubits, its width a cubit and a half, and a cubit and a half its height.

¹¹ You shall overlay it with pure gold. You shall overlay it inside and outside, and you shall make a gold molding around it.

¹² You shall cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in its four feet. Two rings shall be on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it.

¹³ You shall make poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold.

¹⁴ You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark.

KJVAnd thou shalt put^H935^(H8689) the staves^H905 into the rings^H2885 by the sides^H6763 of the ark^H727, that the ark^H727 may be borne^H5375^(H8800) with them.

¹⁵ The poles shall be in the rings of the ark. They shall not be taken from it.

¹⁶ You shall put the covenant which I shall give you into the ark.

¹⁷ You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold. Two and a half cubits shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its width.

KJVAnd thou shalt make^H6213^(H8804) a mercy seat^H3727 of pure^H2889 gold^H2091: two cubits^H520 and a half^H2677 shall be the length^H753 thereof, and a cubit^H520 and a half^H2677 the breadth^H7341 thereof.

¹⁸ You shall make two cherubim of hammered gold. You shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat.

KJVAnd thou shalt make^H6213^(H8804) two^H8147 cherubims^H3742 of gold^H2091, of beaten work^H4749 shalt thou make^H6213^(H8799) them, in the two^H8147 ends^H7098 of the mercy seat^H3727.

¹⁹ Make one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end. You shall make the cherubim on its two ends of one piece with the mercy seat.

KJVAnd make^H6213^(H8798) one^H259 cherub^H3742 on the one end^H7098, and the other^H259 cherub^H3742 on the other^H2088 end^H7098: even of the mercy seat^H3727 shall ye make^H6213^(H8799) the cherubims^H3742 on the two^H8147 ends^H7098 thereof.

²⁰ The cherubim shall spread out their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another. The faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat.

KJVAnd the cherubims^H3742 shall stretch^H6566^(H8802) forth their wings^H3671 on high^H4605, covering^H5526^(H8802) the mercy seat^H3727 with their wings^H3671, and their faces^H6440 shall look one^H376 to another^H251; toward the mercy seat^H3727 shall the faces^H6440 of the cherubims^H3742 be.

²¹ You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the covenant that I will give you.

KJVAnd thou shalt put^H5414^(H8804) the mercy seat^H3727 above^H4605 upon the ark^H727; and in the ark^H727 thou shalt put^H5414^(H8799) the testimony^H5715 that I shall give^H5414^(H8799) thee.

²² There I will meet with you, and I will tell you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the covenant, all that I command you for the children of Israel.

²³ “You shall make a table of acacia wood. Its length shall be two cubits, and its width a cubit, and its height one and a half cubits.

²⁶ You shall make four rings of gold for it, and put the rings in the four corners that are on its four feet.

KJVAnd thou shalt make^H6213^(H8804) for it four^H702 rings^H2885 of gold^H2091, and put^H5414^(H8804) the rings^H2885 in the four^H702 corners^H6285 that are on the four^H702 feet^H7272 thereof.

²⁷ The rings shall be close to the rim, for places for the poles to carry the table.

KJVOver against^H5980 the border^H4526 shall the rings^H2885 be for places^H1004 of the staves^H905 to bear^H5375^(H8800) the table^H7979.

²⁸ You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be carried with them.

KJVAnd thou shalt make^H6213^(H8804) the staves^H905 of shittim^H7848 wood^H6086, and overlay^H6823^(H8765) them with gold^H2091, that the table^H7979 may be borne^H5375^(H8738) with them.

²⁹ You shall make its dishes, its spoons, its ladles, and its bowls with which to pour out offerings. You shall make them of pure gold.

KJVAnd thou shalt make^H6213^(H8804) the dishes^H7086 thereof, and spoons^H3709 thereof, and covers^H7184 thereof, and bowls^H4518 thereof, to cover^H5258^(H8714) withal^H2004: of pure^H2889 gold^H2091 shalt thou make^H6213^(H8799) them.

³⁰ You shall set bread of the presence on the table before me always.

KJVAnd thou shalt set^H5414^(H8804) upon the table^H7979 shewbread^H3899 before^H6440 me alway^H8548.

³¹ “You shall make a lamp stand of pure gold. The lamp stand shall be made of hammered work. Its base, its shaft, its cups, its buds, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it.

KJVAnd thou shalt make^H6213^(H8804) a candlestick^H4501 of pure^H2889 gold^H2091: of beaten work^H4749 shall the candlestick^H4501 be made^H6213^(H8735): his shaft^H3409, and his branches^H7070, his bowls^H1375, his knops^H3730, and his flowers^H6525, shall be of the same.

³² There shall be six branches going out of its sides: three branches of the lamp stand out of its one side, and three branches of the lamp stand out of its other side;

KJVAnd six^H8337 branches^H7070 shall come^H3318^(H8802) out of the sides^H6654 of it; three^H7969 branches^H7070 of the candlestick^H4501 out of the one^H259 side^H6654, and three^H7969 branches^H7070 of the candlestick^H4501 out of the other^H8145 side^H6654:

³³ three cups made like almond blossoms in one branch, a bud and a flower; and three cups made like almond blossoms in the other branch, a bud and a flower, so for the six branches going out of the lamp stand;

KJVThree^H7969 bowls^H1375 made like unto almonds^H8246^(H8794), with a knop^H3730 and a flower^H6525 in one^H259 branch^H7070; and three^H7969 bowls^H1375 made like almonds^H8246^(H8794) in the other^H259 branch^H7070, with a knop^H3730 and a flower^H6525: so in the six^H8337 branches^H7070 that come^H3318^(H8802) out of the candlestick^H4501.

³⁴ and in the lamp stand four cups made like almond blossoms, its buds and its flowers;

KJVAnd in the candlestick^H4501 shall be four^H702 bowls^H1375 made like unto almonds^H8246^(H8794), with their knops^H3730 and their flowers^H6525.

³⁵ and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, for the six branches going out of the lamp stand.

KJVAnd there shall be a knop^H3730 under two^H8147 branches^H7070 of the same, and a knop^H3730 under two^H8147 branches^H7070 of the same, and a knop^H3730 under two^H8147 branches^H7070 of the same, according to the six^H8337 branches^H7070 that proceed^H3318^(H8802) out of the candlestick^H4501.

³⁶ Their buds and their branches shall be of one piece with it, all of it one beaten work of pure gold.

³⁷ You shall make its lamps seven, and they shall light its lamps to give light to the space in front of it.

KJVAnd thou shalt make^H6213^(H8804) the seven^H7651 lamps^H5216 thereof: and they shall light^H5927^(H8689) the lamps^H5216 thereof, that they may give light^H215^(H8689) over against^H5676 it^H6440.

³⁸ Its snuffers and its snuff dishes shall be of pure gold.

KJVAnd the tongs^H4457 thereof, and the snuffdishes^H4289 thereof, shall be of pure^H2889 gold^H2091.

³⁹ It shall be made of a talent of pure gold, with all these accessories.

KJVOf a talent^H3603 of pure^H2889 gold^H2091 shall he make^H6213^(H8799) it, with all these vessels^H3627.

⁴⁰ See that you make them after their pattern, which has been shown to you on the mountain.

KJVAnd look^H7200^(H8798) that thou make^H6213^(H8798) them after their pattern^H8403, which was shewed^H7200^(H8716) thee in the mount^H2022.

¹He said to Moses, “Come up to Yahweh, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship from a distance.

² Moses alone shall come near to Yahweh, but they shall not come near. The people shall not go up with him.”

³ Moses came and told the people all Yahweh’s words, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, “All the words which Yahweh has spoken will we do.”

⁴ Moses wrote all Yahweh’s words, then rose up early in the morning and built an altar at the base of the mountain, with twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.

⁵ He sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of cattle to Yahweh.

⁶ Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

⁷ He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said, “We will do all that Yahweh has said, and be obedient.”

⁸ Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh has made with you concerning all these words.”

⁹ Then Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up.

¹⁰ They saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was like a paved work of sapphire stone, like the skies for clearness.

¹¹ He didn’t lay his hand on the nobles of the children of Israel. They saw God, and ate and drank.

KJVAnd upon the nobles^H678 of the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 he laid^H7971^(H8804) not his hand^H3027: also they saw^H2372^(H8799) God^H430, and did eat^H398^(H8799) and drink^H8354^(H8799).

¹² Yahweh said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them.”

¹³ Moses rose up with Joshua, his servant, and Moses went up onto God’s Mountain.

¹⁴ He said to the elders, “Wait here for us, until we come again to you. Behold, Aaron and Hur are with you. Whoever is involved in a dispute can go to them.”

¹⁵ Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.

KJVAnd Moses^H4872 went up^H5927^(H8799) into the mount^H2022, and a cloud^H6051 covered^H3680^(H8762) the mount^H2022.

¹⁶ Yahweh’s glory settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. The seventh day he called to Moses out of the middle of the cloud.

KJVAnd the glory^H3519 of the LORD^H3068 abode^H7931^(H8799) upon mount^H2022 Sinai^H5514, and the cloud^H6051 covered^H3680^(H8762) it six^H8337 days^H3117: and the seventh^H7637 day^H3117 he called^H7121^(H8799) unto Moses^H4872 out of the midst^H8432 of the cloud^H6051.

¹⁷ The appearance of Yahweh’s glory was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.

KJVAnd the sight^H4758 of the glory^H3519 of the LORD^H3068 was like devouring^H398^(H8802) fire^H784 on the top^H7218 of the mount^H2022 in the eyes^H5869 of the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478.

¹⁸ Moses entered into the middle of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

KJVAnd Moses^H4872 went^H935^(H8799) into the midst^H8432 of the cloud^H6051, and gat him up^H5927^(H8799) into the mount^H2022: and Moses^H4872 was in the mount^H2022 forty^H705 days^H3117 and forty^H705 nights^H3915.
