¹“You shall make an altar to burn incense on. You shall make it of acacia wood.

² Its length shall be a cubit, and its width a cubit. It shall be square, and its height shall be two cubits. Its horns shall be of one piece with it.

KJVA cubit^H520 shall be the length^H753 thereof, and a cubit^H520 the breadth^H7341 thereof; foursquare^H7251^(H8803) shall it be: and two cubits^H520 shall be the height^H6967 thereof: the horns^H7161 thereof shall be of the same.

³ You shall overlay it with pure gold, its top, its sides around it, and its horns; and you shall make a gold molding around it.

⁴ You shall make two golden rings for it under its molding; on its two ribs, on its two sides you shall make them; and they shall be for places for poles with which to bear it.

⁵ You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold.

⁶ You shall put it before the veil that is by the ark of the covenant, before the mercy seat that is over the covenant, where I will meet with you.

⁷ Aaron shall burn incense of sweet spices on it every morning. When he tends the lamps, he shall burn it.

⁸ When Aaron lights the lamps at evening, he shall burn it, a perpetual incense before Yahweh throughout your generations.

KJVAnd when Aaron^H175 lighteth^H5927^(H8687) the lamps^H5216 at even^H6153, he shall burn incense^H6999^(H8686) upon it, a perpetual^H8548 incense^H7004 before^H6440 the LORD^H3068 throughout your generations^H1755.

⁹ You shall offer no strange incense on it, nor burnt offering, nor meal offering; and you shall pour no drink offering on it.

KJVYe shall offer^H5927^(H8686) no strange^H2114^(H8801) incense^H7004 thereon, nor burnt sacrifice^H5930, nor meat offering^H4503; neither shall ye pour^H5258^(H8799) drink offering^H5262 thereon.

¹⁰ Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once in the year; with the blood of the sin offering of atonement once in the year he shall make atonement for it throughout your generations. It is most holy to Yahweh.”

¹¹ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹² “When you take a census of the children of Israel, according to those who are counted among them, then each man shall give a ransom for his soul to Yahweh when you count them, that there be no plague among them when you count them.

KJVWhen thou takest^H5375^(H8799) the sum^H7218 of the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 after their number^H6485^(H8803), then shall they give^H5414^(H8804) every man^H376 a ransom^H3724 for his soul^H5315 unto the LORD^H3068, when thou numberest^H6485^(H8800) them; that there be no plague^H5063 among them, when thou numberest^H6485^(H8800) them.

¹³ They shall give this, everyone who passes over to those who are counted, half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs); half a shekel for an offering to Yahweh.

¹⁴ Everyone who passes over to those who are counted, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the offering to Yahweh.

KJVEvery one that passeth^H5674^(H8802) among them that are numbered^H6485^(H8803), from twenty^H6242 years^H8141 old^H1121 and above^H4605, shall give^H5414^(H8799) an offering^H8641 unto the LORD^H3068.

¹⁵ The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half shekel, when they give the offering of Yahweh, to make atonement for your souls.

KJVThe rich^H6223 shall not give more^H7235^(H8686), and the poor^H1800 shall not give less^H4591^(H8686) than half^H4276 a shekel^H8255, when they give^H5414^(H8800) an offering^H8641 unto the LORD^H3068, to make an atonement^H3722^(H8763) for your souls^H5315.

¹⁶ You shall take the atonement money from the children of Israel, and shall appoint it for the service of the Tent of Meeting; that it may be a memorial for the children of Israel before Yahweh, to make atonement for your souls.”

¹⁷ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹⁸ “You shall also make a basin of bronze, and its base of bronze, in which to wash. You shall put it between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it.

KJVThou shalt also make^H6213^(H8804) a laver^H3595 of brass^H5178, and his foot^H3653 also of brass^H5178, to wash^H7364^(H8800) withal: and thou shalt put^H5414^(H8804) it between the tabernacle^H168 of the congregation^H4150 and the altar^H4196, and thou shalt put^H5414^(H8804) water^H4325 therein.

¹⁹ Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet in it.

KJVFor Aaron^H175 and his sons^H1121 shall wash^H7364^(H8804) their hands^H3027 and their feet^H7272 thereat:

²⁰ When they go into the Tent of Meeting, they shall wash with water, that they don’t die; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

²¹ So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they not die. This shall be a statute forever to them, even to him and to his descendants throughout their generations.”

²² Moreover Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²³ “Also take fine spices: of liquid myrrh, five hundred shekels; and of fragrant cinnamon half as much, even two hundred and fifty; and of fragrant cane, two hundred and fifty;

²⁴ and of cassia five hundred, according to the shekel of the sanctuary; and a hin of olive oil.

²⁵ You shall make it into a holy anointing oil, a perfume compounded after the art of the perfumer: it shall be a holy anointing oil.

KJVAnd thou shalt make^H6213^(H8804) it an oil^H8081 of holy^H6944 ointment^H4888, an ointment^H7545 compound^H4842 after the art^H4639 of the apothecary^H7543^(H8802): it shall be an holy^H6944 anointing^H4888 oil^H8081.

²⁶ You shall use it to anoint the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the covenant,

KJVAnd thou shalt anoint^H4886^(H8804) the tabernacle^H168 of the congregation^H4150 therewith, and the ark^H727 of the testimony^H5715,

²⁷ the table and all its articles, the lamp stand and its accessories, the altar of incense,

KJVAnd the table^H7979 and all his vessels^H3627, and the candlestick^H4501 and his vessels^H3627, and the altar^H4196 of incense^H7004,

²⁸ the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin with its base.

KJVAnd the altar^H4196 of burnt offering^H5930 with all his vessels^H3627, and the laver^H3595 and his foot^H3653.

²⁹ You shall sanctify them, that they may be most holy. Whatever touches them shall be holy.

KJVAnd thou shalt sanctify^H6942^(H8765) them, that they may be most^H6944 holy^H6944: whatsoever toucheth^H5060^(H8802) them shall be holy^H6942^(H8799).

³⁰ You shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and sanctify them, that they may minister to me in the priest’s office.

KJVAnd thou shalt anoint^H4886^(H8799) Aaron^H175 and his sons^H1121, and consecrate^H6942^(H8765) them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office^H3547^(H8763).

³¹ You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘This shall be a holy anointing oil to me throughout your generations.

³² It shall not be poured on man’s flesh, and do not make any like it, according to its composition. It is holy. It shall be holy to you.

³³ Whoever compounds any like it, or whoever puts any of it on a stranger, he shall be cut off from his people.’”

KJVWhosoever^H834^H376 compoundeth^H7543^(H8799) any like it, or whosoever putteth^H5414^(H8799) any of it upon a stranger^H2114^(H8801), shall even be cut^H3772^(H8738) off from his people^H5971.

³⁴ Yahweh said to Moses, “Take to yourself sweet spices, gum resin, onycha, and galbanum: sweet spices with pure frankincense. There shall be an equal weight of each.

KJVAnd the LORD^H3068 said^H559^(H8799) unto Moses^H4872, Take^H3947^(H8798) unto thee sweet spices^H5561, stacte^H5198, and onycha^H7827, and galbanum^H2464; these sweet^H5561 spices^H5561 with pure^H2134 frankincense^H3828: of each^H905 shall there be a like^H905 weight:

³⁵ You shall make incense of it, a perfume after the art of the perfumer, seasoned with salt, pure and holy.

³⁶ You shall beat some of it very small, and put some of it before the covenant in the Tent of Meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be to you most holy.

³⁷ You shall not make this incense, according to its composition, for yourselves: it shall be to you holy for Yahweh.

KJVAnd as for the perfume^H7004 which thou shalt make^H6213^(H8799), ye shall not make^H6213^(H8799) to yourselves according to the composition^H4971 thereof: it shall be unto thee holy^H6944 for the LORD^H3068.

³⁸ Whoever shall make any like that, to smell of it, he shall be cut off from his people.”

⁴ You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall wash them with water.

⁵ You shall take the garments, and put on Aaron the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breastplate, and clothe him with the skillfully woven band of the ephod.

⁸ You shall bring his sons, and put tunics on them.

⁹ You shall clothe them with belts, Aaron and his sons, and bind headbands on them. They shall have the priesthood by a perpetual statute. You shall consecrate Aaron and his sons.

KJVAnd thou shalt gird^H2296^(H8804) them with girdles^H73, Aaron^H175 and his sons^H1121, and put^H2280^(H8804) the bonnets^H4021 on them: and the priest's office^H3550 shall be theirs for a perpetual^H5769 statute^H2708: and thou shalt consecrate^H4390^(H8765)^H3027 Aaron^H175 and his sons^H1121.

¹⁰ “You shall bring the bull before the Tent of Meeting; and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull.

KJVAnd thou shalt cause a bullock^H6499 to be brought^H7126^(H8689) before^H6440 the tabernacle^H168 of the congregation^H4150: and Aaron^H175 and his sons^H1121 shall put^H5564^(H8804) their hands^H3027 upon the head^H7218 of the bullock^H6499.

¹¹ You shall kill the bull before Yahweh at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

KJVAnd thou shalt kill^H7819^(H8804) the bullock^H6499 before^H6440 the LORD^H3068, by the door^H6607 of the tabernacle^H168 of the congregation^H4150.

¹² You shall take of the blood of the bull, and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger; and you shall pour out all the blood at the base of the altar.

¹³ You shall take all the fat that covers the innards, the cover of the liver, the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, and burn them on the altar.

KJVAnd thou shalt take^H3947^(H8804) all the fat^H2459 that covereth^H3680^(H8764) the inwards^H7130, and the caul^H3508 that is above the liver^H3516, and the two^H8147 kidneys^H3629, and the fat^H2459 that is upon them, and burn^H6999^(H8689) them upon the altar^H4196.

¹⁴ But the meat of the bull, and its skin, and its dung, you shall burn with fire outside of the camp. It is a sin offering.

KJVBut the flesh^H1320 of the bullock^H6499, and his skin^H5785, and his dung^H6569, shalt thou burn^H8313^(H8799) with fire^H784 without^H2351 the camp^H4264: it is a sin offering^H2403.

¹⁵ “You shall also take the one ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram.

KJVThou shalt also take^H3947^(H8799) one^H259 ram^H352; and Aaron^H175 and his sons^H1121 shall put^H5564^(H8804) their hands^H3027 upon the head^H7218 of the ram^H352.

¹⁶ You shall kill the ram, and you shall take its blood, and sprinkle it around on the altar.

KJVAnd thou shalt slay^H7819^(H8804) the ram^H352, and thou shalt take^H3947^(H8804) his blood^H1818, and sprinkle^H2236^(H8804) it round about^H5439 upon the altar^H4196.

¹⁷ You shall cut the ram into its pieces, and wash its innards, and its legs, and put them with its pieces, and with its head.

KJVAnd thou shalt cut^H5408^(H8762) the ram^H352 in pieces^H5409, and wash^H7364^(H8804) the inwards^H7130 of him, and his legs^H3767, and put^H5414^(H8804) them unto his pieces^H5409, and unto his head^H7218.

¹⁸ You shall burn the whole ram on the altar: it is a burnt offering to Yahweh; it is a pleasant aroma, an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

KJVAnd thou shalt burn^H6999^(H8689) the whole ram^H352 upon the altar^H4196: it is a burnt offering^H5930 unto the LORD^H3068: it is a sweet^H5207 savour^H7381, an offering made by fire^H801 unto the LORD^H3068.

¹⁹ “You shall take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram.

KJVAnd thou shalt take^H3947^(H8804) the other^H8145 ram^H352; and Aaron^H175 and his sons^H1121 shall put^H5564^(H8804) their hands^H3027 upon the head^H7218 of the ram^H352.

²⁰ Then you shall kill the ram, and take some of its blood, and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and on the tip of the right ear of his sons, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the big toe of their right foot; and sprinkle the blood around on the altar.

²¹ You shall take of the blood that is on the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron, and on his garments, and on his sons, and on the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be made holy, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons’ garments with him.

²² Also you shall take some of the ram’s fat, the fat tail, the fat that covers the innards, the cover of the liver, the two kidneys, the fat that is on them, and the right thigh (for it is a ram of consecration),

KJVAlso thou shalt take^H3947^(H8804) of the ram^H352 the fat^H2459 and the rump^H451, and the fat^H2459 that covereth^H3680^(H8764) the inwards^H7130, and the caul^H3508 above the liver^H3516, and the two^H8147 kidneys^H3629, and the fat^H2459 that is upon them, and the right^H3225 shoulder^H7785; for it is a ram^H352 of consecration^H4394:

²³ and one loaf of bread, one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer out of the basket of unleavened bread that is before Yahweh.

KJVAnd one^H259 loaf^H3603 of bread^H3899, and one^H259 cake^H2471 of oiled^H8081 bread, and one^H259 wafer^H7550 out of the basket^H5536 of the unleavened bread^H4682 that is before^H6440 the LORD^H3068:

²⁴ You shall put all of this in Aaron’s hands, and in his sons’ hands, and shall wave them for a wave offering before Yahweh.

KJVAnd thou shalt put^H7760^(H8804) all in the hands^H3709 of Aaron^H175, and in the hands^H3709 of his sons^H1121; and shalt wave^H5130^(H8689) them for a wave offering^H8573 before^H6440 the LORD^H3068.

²⁵ You shall take them from their hands, and burn them on the altar on the burnt offering, for a pleasant aroma before Yahweh: it is an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

KJVAnd thou shalt receive^H3947^(H8804) them of their hands^H3027, and burn^H6999^(H8689) them upon the altar^H4196 for a burnt offering^H5930, for a sweet^H5207 savour^H7381 before^H6440 the LORD^H3068: it is an offering made by fire^H801 unto the LORD^H3068.

²⁶ “You shall take the breast of Aaron’s ram of consecration, and wave it for a wave offering before Yahweh. It shall be your portion.

KJVAnd thou shalt take^H3947^(H8804) the breast^H2373 of the ram^H352 of Aaron's^H175 consecration^H4394, and wave^H5130^(H8689) it for a wave offering^H8573 before^H6440 the LORD^H3068: and it shall be thy part^H4490.

²⁷ You shall sanctify the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the wave offering, which is waved, and which is raised up, of the ram of consecration, even of that which is for Aaron, and of that which is for his sons.

³⁰ Seven days shall the son who is priest in his place put them on, when he comes into the Tent of Meeting to minister in the holy place.

³² Aaron and his sons shall eat the meat of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, at the door of the Tent of Meeting.
