¹Yahweh called to Moses, and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting, saying,

² “Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When anyone of you offers an offering to Yahweh, you shall offer your offering of the livestock, from the herd and from the flock.

KJVSpeak^H1696^(H8761) unto the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478, and say^H559^(H8804) unto them, If any man^H120 of you bring^H7126^(H8686) an offering^H7133 unto the LORD^H3068, ye shall bring^H7126^(H8686) your offering^H7133 of the cattle^H929, even of the herd^H1241, and of the flock^H6629.

³ “‘If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without defect. He shall offer it at the door of the Tent of Meeting, that he may be accepted before Yahweh.

KJVIf his offering^H7133 be a burnt sacrifice^H5930 of the herd^H1241, let him offer^H7126^(H8686) a male^H2145 without blemish^H8549: he shall offer^H7126^(H8686) it of his own voluntary will^H7522 at the door^H6607 of the tabernacle^H168 of the congregation^H4150 before^H6440 the LORD^H3068.

⁴ He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

KJVAnd he shall put^H5564^(H8804) his hand^H3027 upon the head^H7218 of the burnt offering^H5930; and it shall be accepted^H7521^(H8738) for him to make atonement^H3722^(H8763) for him.

⁵ He shall kill the bull before Yahweh. Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall present the blood and sprinkle the blood around on the altar that is at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

KJVAnd he shall kill^H7819^(H8804) the bullock^H1121^H1241 before^H6440 the LORD^H3068: and the priests^H3548, Aaron's^H175 sons^H1121, shall bring^H7126^(H8689) the blood^H1818, and sprinkle^H2236^(H8804) the blood^H1818 round about^H5439 upon the altar^H4196 that is by the door^H6607 of the tabernacle^H168 of the congregation^H4150.

⁶ He shall skin the burnt offering and cut it into pieces.

KJVAnd he shall flay^H6584^(H8689) the burnt offering^H5930, and cut^H5408^(H8765) it into his pieces^H5409.

⁷ The sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar, and lay wood in order on the fire;

KJVAnd the sons^H1121 of Aaron^H175 the priest^H3548 shall put^H5414^(H8804) fire^H784 upon the altar^H4196, and lay the wood^H6086 in order^H6186^(H8804) upon the fire^H784:

⁸ and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall lay the pieces, the head, and the fat in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar;

KJVAnd the priests^H3548, Aaron's^H175 sons^H1121, shall lay^H6186 the parts^H5409, the head^H7218, and the fat^H6309, in order^H6186^(H8804) upon the wood^H6086 that is on the fire^H784 which is upon the altar^H4196:

⁹ but he shall wash its innards and its legs with water. The priest shall burn all of it on the altar, for a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

KJVBut his inwards^H7130 and his legs^H3767 shall he wash^H7364^(H8799) in water^H4325: and the priest^H3548 shall burn^H6999^(H8689) all on the altar^H4196, to be a burnt sacrifice^H5930, an offering made by fire^H801, of a sweet^H5207 savour^H7381 unto the LORD^H3068.

¹⁰ “‘If his offering is from the flock, from the sheep or from the goats, for a burnt offering, he shall offer a male without defect.

KJVAnd if his offering^H7133 be of the flocks^H6629, namely, of the sheep^H3775, or of the goats^H5795, for a burnt sacrifice^H5930; he shall bring^H7126^(H8686) it a male^H2145 without blemish^H8549.

¹¹ He shall kill it on the north side of the altar before Yahweh. Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar.

KJVAnd he shall kill^H7819^(H8804) it on the side^H3409 of the altar^H4196 northward^H6828 before^H6440 the LORD^H3068: and the priests^H3548, Aaron's^H175 sons^H1121, shall sprinkle^H2236^(H8804) his blood^H1818 round about^H5439 upon the altar^H4196.

¹² He shall cut it into its pieces, with its head and its fat. The priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar,

KJVAnd he shall cut^H5408^(H8765) it into his pieces^H5409, with his head^H7218 and his fat^H6309: and the priest^H3548 shall lay them in order^H6186^(H8804) on the wood^H6086 that is on the fire^H784 which is upon the altar^H4196:

¹³ but the innards and the legs he shall wash with water. The priest shall offer the whole, and burn it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

¹⁴ “‘If his offering to Yahweh is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall offer his offering from turtledoves or of young pigeons.

KJVAnd if the burnt sacrifice^H5930 for his offering^H7133 to the LORD^H3068 be of fowls^H5775, then he shall bring^H7126^(H8689) his offering^H7133 of turtledoves^H8449, or of young^H1121 pigeons^H3123.

¹⁵ The priest shall bring it to the altar, and wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar;

KJVAnd the priest^H3548 shall bring^H7126^(H8689) it unto the altar^H4196, and wring off^H4454^(H8804) his head^H7218, and burn^H6999^(H8689) it on the altar^H4196; and the blood^H1818 thereof shall be wrung out^H4680^(H8738) at the side^H7023 of the altar^H4196:

¹⁶ and he shall take away its crop and its feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, in the place of the ashes.

KJVAnd he shall pluck away^H5493^(H8689) his crop^H4760 with his feathers^H5133, and cast^H7993^(H8689) it beside^H681 the altar^H4196 on the east part^H6924, by the place^H4725 of the ashes^H1880:

¹⁷ He shall tear it by its wings, but shall not divide it apart. The priest shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

KJVAnd the LORD^H3068 spake^H1696^(H8762) unto Moses^H4872, saying^H559^(H8800),

² “On the first day of the first month you shall raise up the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.

KJVOn the first^H7223 day^H3117 of the first^H259 month^H2320 shalt thou set up^H6965^(H8686) the tabernacle^H4908 of the tent^H168 of the congregation^H4150.

³ You shall put the ark of the covenant in it, and you shall screen the ark with the veil.

KJVAnd thou shalt put^H7760^(H8804) therein^H8033 the ark^H727 of the testimony^H5715, and cover^H5526^(H8804) the ark^H727 with the vail^H6532.

⁴ You shall bring in the table, and set in order the things that are on it. You shall bring in the lamp stand, and light its lamps.

KJVAnd thou shalt bring^H935^(H8689) in the table^H7979, and set in order^H6186^(H8804) the things that are to be set in order^H6187 upon it; and thou shalt bring^H935^(H8689) in the candlestick^H4501, and light^H5927^(H8689) the lamps^H5216 thereof.

⁵ You shall set the golden altar for incense before the ark of the covenant, and put the screen of the door to the tabernacle.

KJVAnd thou shalt set^H5414^(H8804) the altar^H4196 of gold^H2091 for the incense^H7004 before^H6440 the ark^H727 of the testimony^H5715, and put^H7760^(H8804) the hanging^H4539 of the door^H6607 to the tabernacle^H4908.

⁶ “You shall set the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.

KJVAnd thou shalt set^H5414^(H8804) the altar^H4196 of the burnt offering^H5930 before^H6440 the door^H6607 of the tabernacle^H4908 of the tent^H168 of the congregation^H4150.

⁷ You shall set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and shall put water therein.

KJVAnd thou shalt set^H5414^(H8804) the laver^H3595 between the tent^H168 of the congregation^H4150 and the altar^H4196, and shalt put^H5414^(H8804) water^H4325 therein.

⁸ You shall set up the court around it, and hang up the screen of the gate of the court.

KJVAnd thou shalt set up^H7760^(H8804) the court^H2691 round about^H5439, and hang up^H5414^(H8804) the hanging^H4539 at the court^H2691 gate^H8179.

⁹ “You shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and shall make it holy, and all its furniture, and it will be holy.

KJVAnd thou shalt take^H3947^(H8804) the anointing^H4888 oil^H8081, and anoint^H4886^(H8804) the tabernacle^H4908, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow^H6942^(H8765) it, and all the vessels^H3627 thereof: and it shall be holy^H6944.

¹⁰ You shall anoint the altar of burnt offering, with all its vessels, and sanctify the altar, and the altar will be most holy.

KJVAnd thou shalt anoint^H4886^(H8804) the altar^H4196 of the burnt offering^H5930, and all his vessels^H3627, and sanctify^H6942^(H8765) the altar^H4196: and it shall be an altar^H4196 most^H6944 holy^H6944.

¹¹ You shall anoint the basin and its base, and sanctify it.

KJVAnd thou shalt anoint^H4886^(H8804) the laver^H3595 and his foot^H3653, and sanctify^H6942^(H8765) it.

¹² “You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall wash them with water.

KJVAnd thou shalt bring^H7126^(H8689) Aaron^H175 and his sons^H1121 unto the door^H6607 of the tabernacle^H168 of the congregation^H4150, and wash^H7364^(H8804) them with water^H4325.

¹³ You shall put on Aaron the holy garments; and you shall anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may minister to me in the priest’s office.

KJVAnd thou shalt put^H3847^(H8689) upon Aaron^H175 the holy^H6944 garments^H899, and anoint^H4886^(H8804) him, and sanctify^H6942^(H8765) him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office^H3547^(H8765).

¹⁴ You shall bring his sons, and put tunics on them.

KJVAnd thou shalt bring^H7126^(H8686) his sons^H1121, and clothe^H3847^(H8689) them with coats^H3801:

¹⁵ You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to me in the priest’s office. Their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.”

KJVAnd thou shalt anoint^H4886^(H8804) them, as thou didst anoint^H4886^(H8804) their father^H1, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office^H3547^(H8765): for their anointing^H4888 shall surely be an everlasting^H5769 priesthood^H3550 throughout their generations^H1755.

¹⁶ Moses did so. According to all that Yahweh commanded him, so he did.

KJVThus did^H6213^(H8799) Moses^H4872: according to all that the LORD^H3068 commanded^H6680^(H8765) him, so did^H6213^(H8804) he.

¹⁷ In the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was raised up.

KJVAnd it came to pass in the first^H7223 month^H2320 in the second^H8145 year^H8141, on the first^H259 day of the month^H2320, that the tabernacle^H4908 was reared up^H6965^(H8717).

¹⁸ Moses raised up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and raised up its pillars.

KJVAnd Moses^H4872 reared up^H6965^(H8686) the tabernacle^H4908, and fastened^H5414^(H8799) his sockets^H134, and set up^H7760^(H8799) the boards^H7175 thereof, and put^H5414^(H8799) in the bars^H1280 thereof, and reared up^H6965^(H8686) his pillars^H5982.

¹⁹ He spread the covering over the tent, and put the roof of the tabernacle above on it, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

KJVAnd he spread abroad^H6566^(H8799) the tent^H168 over the tabernacle^H4908, and put^H7760^(H8799) the covering^H4372 of the tent^H168 above^H4605 upon it; as the LORD^H3068 commanded^H6680^(H8765) Moses^H4872.

²⁰ He took and put the covenant into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.

KJVAnd he took^H3947^(H8799) and put^H5414^(H8799) the testimony^H5715 into the ark^H727, and set^H7760^(H8799) the staves^H905 on the ark^H727, and put^H5414^(H8799) the mercy seat^H3727 above^H4605 upon the ark^H727:

²¹ He brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the covenant, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

²² He put the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside of the veil.

²³ He set the bread in order on it before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

²⁴ He put the lamp stand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the tabernacle.

KJVAnd he put^H7760^(H8799) the candlestick^H4501 in the tent^H168 of the congregation^H4150, over against^H5227 the table^H7979, on the side^H3409 of the tabernacle^H4908 southward^H5045.

²⁵ He lit the lamps before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

KJVAnd he lighted^H5927^(H8686) the lamps^H5216 before^H6440 the LORD^H3068; as the LORD^H3068 commanded^H6680^(H8765) Moses^H4872.

²⁶ He put the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting before the veil;

KJVAnd he put^H7760^(H8799) the golden^H2091 altar^H4196 in the tent^H168 of the congregation^H4150 before^H6440 the vail^H6532:

²⁷ and he burned incense of sweet spices on it, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

KJVAnd he burnt^H6999^(H8686) sweet^H5561 incense^H7004 thereon; as the LORD^H3068 commanded^H6680^(H8765) Moses^H4872.

²⁸ He put up the screen of the door to the tabernacle.

KJVAnd he set up^H7760^(H8799) the hanging^H4539 at the door^H6607 of the tabernacle^H4908.

²⁹ He set the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

KJVAnd he put^H7760^(H8804) the altar^H4196 of burnt offering^H5930 by the door^H6607 of the tabernacle^H4908 of the tent^H168 of the congregation^H4150, and offered^H5927^(H8686) upon it the burnt offering^H5930 and the meat offering^H4503; as the LORD^H3068 commanded^H6680^(H8765) Moses^H4872.

³⁰ He set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water therein, with which to wash.

³¹ Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and their feet there.

³² When they went into the Tent of Meeting, and when they came near to the altar, they washed, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

³³ He raised up the court around the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.

KJVAnd he reared up^H6965^(H8686) the court^H2691 round about^H5439 the tabernacle^H4908 and the altar^H4196, and set up^H5414^(H8799) the hanging^H4539 of the court^H2691 gate^H8179. So Moses^H4872 finished^H3615^(H8762) the work^H4399.

³⁴ Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.

KJVThen a cloud^H6051 covered^H3680^(H8762) the tent^H168 of the congregation^H4150, and the glory^H3519 of the LORD^H3068 filled^H4390^(H8804) the tabernacle^H4908.

³⁵ Moses wasn’t able to enter into the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud stayed on it, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.

KJVAnd Moses^H4872 was not able^H3201^(H8804) to enter^H935^(H8800) into the tent^H168 of the congregation^H4150, because the cloud^H6051 abode^H7931^(H8804) thereon, and the glory^H3519 of the LORD^H3068 filled^H4390^(H8804) the tabernacle^H4908.

³⁶ When the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward, throughout all their journeys;

KJVAnd when the cloud^H6051 was taken up^H5927^(H8736) from^H5921 over the tabernacle^H4908, the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 went onward^H5265^(H8799) in all their journeys^H4550:

³⁷ but if the cloud wasn’t taken up, then they didn’t travel until the day that it was taken up.

KJVBut if the cloud^H6051 were not taken up^H5927^(H8735), then they journeyed^H5265^(H8799) not till the day^H3117 that it was taken up^H5927^(H8736).

³⁸ For the cloud of Yahweh was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

KJVFor the cloud^H6051 of the LORD^H3068 was upon the tabernacle^H4908 by day^H3119, and fire^H784 was on it by night^H3915, in the sight^H5869 of all the house^H1004 of Israel^H3478, throughout all their journeys^H4550.
