KJVFor, lo, the daysH3117 comeH935(H8802), saithH5002(H8803) the LORDH3068, that I will bring againH7725(H8804) the captivityH7622 of my peopleH5971 IsraelH3478 and JudahH3063, saithH559(H8804) the LORDH3068: and I will cause them to returnH7725(H8689) to the landH776 that I gaveH5414(H8804) to their fathersH1, and they shall possessH3423(H8804) it.

6 Ask now, and see whether a man travails with child. Why do I see every man with his hands on his waist, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned pale?
KJVAskH7592(H8798) ye now, and seeH7200(H8798) whether a manH2145 doth travail with childH3205(H8802)? wherefore do I seeH7200(H8804) every manH1397 with his handsH3027 on his loinsH2504, as a woman in travailH3205(H8802), and all facesH6440 are turnedH2015(H8738) into palenessH3420?
7 Alas, for that day is great, so that none is like it! It is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he will be saved out of it.
KJVAlasH1945! for that dayH3117 is greatH1419, so thatH369 none is like it: it is even the timeH6256 of Jacob'sH3290 troubleH6869; but he shall be savedH3467(H8735) out of it.
8 It will come to pass in that day, says Yahweh of Armies, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and will burst your bonds. Strangers will no more make them their bondservants;
KJVFor it shall come to pass in that dayH3117, saithH5002(H8803) the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, that I will breakH7665(H8799) his yokeH5923 from off thy neckH6677, and will burstH5423(H8762) thy bondsH4147, and strangersH2114(H8801) shall no more serveH5647(H8799) themselves of him:
9 but they will serve Yahweh their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.
KJVBut they shall serveH5647(H8804) the LORDH3068 their GodH430, and DavidH1732 their kingH4428, whom I will raise upH6965(H8686) unto them.
10 Therefore don’t be afraid, O Jacob my servant, says Yahweh. Don’t be dismayed, Israel. For, behold, I will save you from afar, and save your offspring from the land of their captivity. Jacob will return, and will be quiet and at ease. No one will make him afraid.
KJVTherefore fearH3372(H8799) thou not, O my servantH5650 JacobH3290, saithH5002(H8803) the LORDH3068; neither be dismayedH2865(H8735), O IsraelH3478: for, lo, I will saveH3467(H8688) thee from afarH7350, and thy seedH2233 from the landH776 of their captivityH7628; and JacobH3290 shall returnH7725(H8804), and shall be in restH8252(H8804), and be quietH7599(H8768), and none shall make him afraidH2729(H8688).
11 For I am with you, says Yahweh, to save you; for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not make a full end of you; but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.”
KJVFor I am with thee, saithH5002(H8803) the LORDH3068, to saveH3467(H8687) thee: though I makeH6213(H8799) a full endH3617 of all nationsH1471 whither I have scatteredH6327(H8689) thee, yet will I not makeH6213(H8799) a full endH3617 of thee: but I will correctH3256(H8765) thee in measureH4941, and will not leave thee altogetherH5352(H8763) unpunishedH5352(H8762).

14 All your lovers have forgotten you. They don’t seek you. For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased.
KJVAll thy loversH157(H8764) have forgottenH7911(H8804) thee; they seekH1875(H8799) thee not; for I have woundedH5221(H8689) thee with the woundH4347 of an enemyH341(H8802), with the chastisementH4148 of a cruel oneH394, for the multitudeH7230 of thine iniquityH5771; because thy sinsH2403 were increasedH6105(H8804).

20 Their children also will be as before, and their congregation will be established before me. I will punish all who oppress them.
KJVTheir childrenH1121 also shall be as aforetimeH6924, and their congregationH5712 shall be establishedH3559(H8735) beforeH6440 me, and I will punishH6485(H8804) all that oppressH3905(H8801) them.
21 Their prince will be one of them, and their ruler will proceed from among them. I will cause him to draw near, and he will approach me; for who is he who has had boldness to approach me?” says Yahweh.

22 “You shall be my people, and I will be your God.
KJVAnd ye shall be my peopleH5971, and I will be your GodH430.
