¹Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

² “Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

³ and say, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, I am against you, Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.

KJVAnd say^H559^(H8804), Thus saith^H559^(H8804) the Lord^H136 GOD^H3069; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog^H1463, the chief^H7218 prince^H5387 of Meshech^H4902 and Tubal^H8422:

⁴ I will turn you around, and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, with all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor, a great company with buckler and shield, all of them handling swords;

⁵ Persia, Cush, and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet;

⁶ Gomer, and all his hordes; the house of Togarmah in the uttermost parts of the north, and all his hordes—even many peoples with you.

⁷ “‘“Be prepared, yes, prepare yourself, you, and all your companies who are assembled to you, and be a guard to them.

KJVBe thou prepared^H3559^(H8734), and prepare^H3559^(H8685) for thyself, thou, and all thy company^H6951 that are assembled^H6950^(H8737) unto thee, and be thou a guard^H4929 unto them.

⁸ After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land that is brought back from the sword, that is gathered out of many peoples, on the mountains of Israel, which have been a continual waste; but it is brought out of the peoples and they will dwell securely, all of them.

⁹ You will ascend. You will come like a storm. You will be like a cloud to cover the land, you and all your hordes, and many peoples with you.”

¹⁰ “‘The Lord Yahweh says: “It will happen in that day that things will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil plan.

KJVThus saith^H559^(H8804) the Lord^H136 GOD^H3069; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time^H3117 shall things^H1697 come^H5927^(H8799) into thy mind^H3824, and thou shalt think^H2803^(H8804) an evil^H7451 thought^H4284:

¹¹ You will say, ‘I will go up to the land of unwalled villages. I will go to those who are at rest, who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

¹² to take the plunder and to take prey; to turn your hand against the waste places that are inhabited, and against the people who are gathered out of the nations, who have gotten livestock and goods, who dwell in the middle of the earth.’

¹³ Sheba, Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all its young lions, will ask you, ‘Have you come to take the plunder? Have you assembled your company to take the prey, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’”’

¹⁴ “Therefore, son of man, prophesy, and tell Gog, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “In that day when my people Israel dwells securely, will you not know it?

KJVTherefore, son^H1121 of man^H120, prophesy^H5012^(H8734) and say^H559^(H8804) unto Gog^H1463, Thus saith^H559^(H8804) the Lord^H136 GOD^H3069; In that day^H3117 when my people^H5971 of Israel^H3478 dwelleth^H3427^(H8800) safely^H983, shalt thou not know^H3045^(H8799) it?

¹⁵ You will come from your place out of the uttermost parts of the north, you, and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army.

¹⁶ You will come up against my people Israel as a cloud to cover the land. It will happen in the latter days that I will bring you against my land, that the nations may know me when I am sanctified in you, Gog, before their eyes.”

¹⁷ “‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Are you he of whom I spoke in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days for years that I would bring you against them?

KJVThus saith^H559^(H8804) the Lord^H136 GOD^H3069; Art thou he of whom I have spoken^H1696^(H8765) in old^H6931 time^H3117 by^H3027 my servants^H5650 the prophets^H5030 of Israel^H3478, which prophesied^H5012^(H8737) in those days^H3117 many years^H8141 that I would bring^H935^(H8687) thee against them?

¹⁸ It will happen in that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord Yahweh, “that my wrath will come up into my nostrils.

KJVAnd it shall come to pass at the same time^H3117 when^H3117 Gog^H1463 shall come^H935^(H8800) against the land^H127 of Israel^H3478, saith^H5002^(H8803) the Lord^H136 GOD^H3069, that my fury^H2534 shall come up^H5927^(H8799) in my face^H639.

¹⁹ For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath I have spoken. Surely in that day there will be a great shaking in the land of Israel,

²⁰ so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the animals of the field, all creeping things who creep on the earth, and all the men who are on the surface of the earth will shake at my presence. Then the mountains will be thrown down, the steep places will fall, and every wall will fall to the ground.

KJVSo that the fishes^H1709 of the sea^H3220, and the fowls^H5775 of the heaven^H8064, and the beasts^H2416 of the field^H7704, and all creeping things^H7431 that creep^H7430^(H8802) upon the earth^H127, and all the men^H120 that are upon the face^H6440 of the earth^H127, shall shake^H7493^(H8804) at my presence^H6440, and the mountains^H2022 shall be thrown down^H2040^(H8738), and the steep places^H4095 shall fall^H5307^(H8804), and every wall^H2346 shall fall^H5307^(H8799) to the ground^H776.

²¹ I will call for a sword against him to all my mountains,” says the Lord Yahweh. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother.

²² I will enter into judgment with him with pestilence and with blood. I will rain on him, on his hordes, and on the many peoples who are with him, torrential rains with great hailstones, fire, and sulfur.

KJVAnd I will plead^H8199^(H8738) against him with pestilence^H1698 and with blood^H1818; and I will rain^H4305^(H8686) upon him, and upon his bands^H102, and upon the many^H7227 people^H5971 that are with him, an overflowing^H7857^(H8802) rain^H1653, and great hailstones^H417^H68, fire^H784, and brimstone^H1614.

²³ I will magnify myself and sanctify myself, and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.”’

KJVThus will I magnify^H1431^(H8694) myself, and sanctify^H6942^(H8694) myself; and I will be known^H3045^(H8738) in the eyes^H5869 of many^H7227 nations^H1471, and they shall know^H3045^(H8804) that I am the LORD^H3068.

¹Yahweh’s hand was on me, and he brought me out in Yahweh’s Spirit, and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones.

² He caused me to pass by them all around; and behold, there were very many in the open valley, and behold, they were very dry.

³ He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I answered, “Lord Yahweh, you know.”

⁴ Again he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and tell them, ‘You dry bones, hear Yahweh’s word.

KJVAgain he said^H559^(H8799) unto me, Prophesy^H5012^(H8734) upon these bones^H6106, and say^H559^(H8804) unto them, O ye dry^H3002 bones^H6106, hear^H8085^(H8798) the word^H1697 of the LORD^H3068.

⁵ The Lord Yahweh says to these bones: “Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you will live.

KJVThus saith^H559^(H8804) the Lord^H136 GOD^H3069 unto these bones^H6106; Behold, I will cause breath^H7307 to enter^H935^(H8688) into you, and ye shall live^H2421^(H8804):

⁶ I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you will live. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.”’”

⁷ So I prophesied as I was commanded. As I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, there was an earthquake. Then the bones came together, bone to its bone.

⁸ I saw, and, behold, there were sinews on them, and flesh came up, and skin covered them above; but there was no breath in them.

⁹ Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and tell the wind, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Come from the four winds, breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”’”

¹⁰ So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up on their feet, an exceedingly great army.

¹¹ Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost. We are completely cut off.’

¹² Therefore prophesy, and tell them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, my people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.

KJVTherefore prophesy^H5012^(H8734) and say^H559^(H8804) unto them, Thus saith^H559^(H8804) the Lord^H136 GOD^H3069; Behold, O my people^H5971, I will open^H6605^(H8802) your graves^H6913, and cause you to come up^H5927^(H8689) out of your graves^H6913, and bring^H935^(H8689) you into the land^H127 of Israel^H3478.

¹³ You will know that I am Yahweh, when I have opened your graves and caused you to come up out of your graves, my people.

KJVAnd ye shall know^H3045^(H8804) that I am the LORD^H3068, when I have opened^H6605^(H8800) your graves^H6913, O my people^H5971, and brought you up^H5927^(H8687) out of your graves^H6913,

¹⁴ I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live. Then I will place you in your own land; and you will know that I, Yahweh, have spoken it and performed it,” says Yahweh.’”

¹⁵ Yahweh’s word came again to me, saying,

¹⁶ “You, son of man, take one stick and write on it, ‘For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions.’ Then take another stick, and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions.’

¹⁷ Then join them for yourself to one another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand.

¹⁸ “When the children of your people speak to you, saying, ‘Won’t you show us what you mean by these?’

KJVAnd when the children^H1121 of thy people^H5971 shall speak^H559^(H8799) unto thee, saying^H559^(H8800), Wilt thou not shew^H5046^(H8686) us what thou meanest by these?

¹⁹ tell them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions; and I will put them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in my hand.

²⁰ The sticks on which you write will be in your hand before their eyes.”’

²¹ Say to them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land.

KJVAnd say^H1696^(H8761) unto them, Thus saith^H559^(H8804) the Lord^H136 GOD^H3069; Behold, I will take^H3947^(H8802) the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 from among^H996 the heathen^H1471, whither they be gone^H1980^(H8804), and will gather^H6908^(H8765) them on every side^H5439, and bring^H935^(H8689) them into their own land^H127:

²² I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. One king will be king to them all. They will no longer be two nations. They won’t be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

²³ They won’t defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. So they will be my people, and I will be their God.

²⁴ “‘“My servant David will be king over them. They all will have one shepherd. They will also walk in my ordinances and observe my statutes, and do them.

KJVAnd David^H1732 my servant^H5650 shall be king^H4428 over them; and they all shall have one^H259 shepherd^H7462^(H8802): they shall also walk^H3212^(H8799) in my judgments^H4941, and observe^H8104^(H8799) my statutes^H2708, and do^H6213^(H8804) them.

²⁵ They will dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, in which your fathers lived. They will dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children’s children, forever. David my servant will be their prince forever.

²⁶ Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them. It will be an everlasting covenant with them. I will place them, multiply them, and will set my sanctuary among them forever more.

²⁷ My tent also will be with them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

²⁸ The nations will know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies Israel, when my sanctuary is among them forever more.”’”

KJVAnd the heathen^H1471 shall know^H3045^(H8804) that I the LORD^H3068 do sanctify^H6942^(H8764) Israel^H3478, when my sanctuary^H4720 shall be in the midst^H8432 of them for evermore^H5769.
