¹Then he brought me out into the outer court, the way toward the north. Then he brought me into the room that was opposite the separate place, and which was opposite the building toward the north.

KJVThen he brought me forth^H3318^(H8686) into the utter^H2435 court^H2691, the way toward^H1870 the north^H6828: and he brought^H935^(H8686) me into the chamber^H3957 that was over against the separate place^H1508, and which was before the building^H1146 toward the north^H6828.

² Facing the length of one hundred cubits was the north door, and the width was fifty cubits.

KJVBefore^H6440 the length^H753 of an hundred^H3967 cubits^H520 was the north^H6828 door^H6607, and the breadth^H7341 was fifty^H2572 cubits^H520.

³ Opposite the twenty cubits which belonged to the inner court, and opposite the pavement which belonged to the outer court, was gallery against gallery in the three stories.

KJVOver against the twenty^H6242 cubits which were for the inner^H6442 court^H2691, and over against the pavement^H7531 which was for the utter^H2435 court^H2691, was gallery^H862 against^H6440 gallery^H862 in three^H7992 stories.

⁴ Before the rooms was a walk of ten cubits’ width inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors were toward the north.

KJVAnd before^H6440 the chambers^H3957 was a walk^H4109 of ten^H6235 cubits^H520 breadth^H7341 inward^H6442, a way^H1870 of one^H259 cubit^H520; and their doors^H6607 toward the north^H6828.

⁵ Now the upper rooms were shorter; for the galleries took away from these more than from the lower and the middle in the building.

KJVNow the upper^H5945 chambers^H3957 were shorter^H7114^(H8803): for the galleries^H862 were higher^H398^(H8799) than these^H2007, than the lower^H8481, and than the middlemost^H8484 of the building^H1146.

⁶ For they were in three stories, and they didn’t have pillars as the pillars of the courts. Therefore the uppermost was set back more than the lowest and the middle from the ground.

KJVFor they were in three^H8027^(H8794) stories, but had not pillars^H5982 as the pillars^H5982 of the courts^H2691: therefore the building was straitened^H680^(H8738) more than the lowest^H8481 and the middlemost^H8484 from the ground^H776.

⁷ The wall that was outside by the side of the rooms, toward the outer court before the rooms, was fifty cubits long.

KJVAnd the wall^H1447 that was without^H2351 over against^H5980 the chambers^H3957, toward^H1870 the utter^H2435 court^H2691 on the forepart^H6440 of the chambers^H3957, the length^H753 thereof was fifty^H2572 cubits^H520.

⁸ For the length of the rooms that were in the outer court was fifty cubits. Behold, those facing the temple were one hundred cubits.

KJVFor the length^H753 of the chambers^H3957 that were in the utter^H2435 court^H2691 was fifty^H2572 cubits^H520: and, lo, before^H6440 the temple^H1964 were an hundred^H3967 cubits^H520.

⁹ From under these rooms was the entry on the east side, as one goes into them from the outer court.

KJVAnd from under these chambers^H3957 was the entry^H3996^(H8675)^H935^(H8688) on the east side^H6921, as one goeth^H935^(H8800) into them^H2007 from the utter^H2435 court^H2691.

¹⁰ In the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, before the separate place, and before the building, there were rooms.

KJVThe chambers^H3957 were in the thickness^H7341 of the wall^H1444 of the court^H2691 toward^H1870 the east^H6921, over against^H6440 the separate place^H1508, and over against^H6440 the building^H1146.

¹¹ The way before them was like the appearance of the rooms which were toward the north. Their length and width were the same. All their exits had the same arrangement and doors.

KJVAnd the way^H1870 before^H6440 them was like the appearance^H4758 of the chambers^H3957 which were toward^H1870 the north^H6828, as long as^H753 they, and as broad as^H3651^H7341 they: and all their goings out^H4161 were both according to their fashions^H4941, and according to their doors^H6607.

¹² Like the doors of the rooms that were toward the south was a door at the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one enters into them.

KJVAnd according to the doors^H6607 of the chambers^H3957 that were toward^H1870 the south^H1864 was a door^H6607 in the head^H7218 of the way^H1870, even the way^H1870 directly^H1903 before^H6440 the wall^H1448 toward^H1870 the east^H6921, as one entereth^H935^(H8800) into them.

¹³ Then he said to me, “The north rooms and the south rooms, which are opposite the separate place, are the holy rooms, where the priests who are near to Yahweh shall eat the most holy things. There they shall lay the most holy things, with the meal offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.

KJVThen said^H559^(H8799) he unto me, The north^H6828 chambers^H3957 and the south^H1864 chambers^H3957, which are before^H6440 the separate place^H1508, they be holy^H6944 chambers^H3957, where the priests^H3548 that approach^H7138 unto the LORD^H3068 shall eat^H398^(H8799) the most^H6944 holy things^H6944: there shall they lay^H3240^(H8686) the most^H6944 holy things^H6944, and the meat offering^H4503, and the sin offering^H2403, and the trespass offering^H817; for the place^H4725 is holy^H6918.

¹⁴ When the priests enter in, then they shall not go out of the holy place into the outer court until they lay their garments in which they minister there; for they are holy. Then they shall put on other garments, and shall approach that which is for the people.”

¹⁵ Now when he had finished measuring the inner house, he brought me out by the way of the gate which faces toward the east, and measured it all around.

¹⁶ He measured on the east side with the measuring reed five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed all around.

²⁰ He measured it on the four sides. It had a wall around it, the length five hundred cubits, and the width five hundred cubits, to make a separation between that which was holy and that which was common.

KJVHe measured^H4058^(H8804) it by the four^H702 sides^H7307: it had a wall^H2346 round about^H5439, five^H2568 hundred^H3967 reeds long^H753, and five^H2568 hundred^H3967 broad^H7341, to make a separation^H914^(H8687) between the sanctuary^H6944 and the profane place^H2455.

¹He brought me to the nave and measured the posts, six cubits wide on the one side and six cubits wide on the other side, which was the width of the tent.

KJVAfterward he brought^H935^(H8686) me to the temple^H1964, and measured^H4058^(H8799) the posts^H352, six^H8337 cubits^H520 broad^H7341 on the one side^H6311, and six^H8337 cubits^H520 broad^H7341 on the other side^H6311, which was the breadth^H7341 of the tabernacle^H168.

² The width of the entrance was ten cubits, and the sides of the entrance were five cubits on the one side, and five cubits on the other side. He measured its length, forty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits.

KJVAnd the breadth^H7341 of the door^H6607 was ten^H6235 cubits^H520; and the sides^H3802 of the door^H6607 were five^H2568 cubits^H520 on the one side, and five^H2568 cubits^H520 on the other side: and he measured^H4058^(H8799) the length^H753 thereof, forty^H705 cubits^H520: and the breadth^H7341, twenty^H6242 cubits^H520.

³ Then he went inward and measured each post of the entrance, two cubits; and the entrance, six cubits; and the width of the entrance, seven cubits.

⁴ He measured its length, twenty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits, before the nave. He said to me, “This is the most holy place.”

⁵ Then he measured the wall of the house, six cubits; and the width of every side room, four cubits, all around the house on every side.

KJVAfter he measured^H4058^(H8799) the wall^H7023 of the house^H1004, six^H8337 cubits^H520; and the breadth^H7341 of every side chamber^H6763, four^H702 cubits^H520, round about^H5439 the house^H1004 on every side^H5439.

⁶ The side rooms were in three stories, one over another, and thirty in each story. They entered into the wall which belonged to the house for the side rooms all around, that they might be supported and not penetrate the wall of the house.

KJVAnd the side^H6763 chambers^H6763 were three^H7969, one over another^H6763, and thirty^H7970 in order^H6471; and they entered^H935^(H8802) into the wall^H7023 which was of the house^H1004 for the side chambers^H6763 round about^H5439, that they might have hold^H270^(H8803), but they had not hold^H270^(H8803) in the wall^H7023 of the house^H1004.

⁷ The side rooms were wider on the higher levels, because the walls were narrower at the higher levels. Therefore the width of the house increased upward; and so one went up from the lowest level to the highest through the middle level.

KJVAnd there was an enlarging^H7337^(H8804), and a winding about^H5437^(H8738) still upward^H4605 to the side chambers^H6763: for the winding about^H4141 of the house^H1004 went still upward^H4605 round about^H5439 the house^H1004: therefore the breadth^H7341 of the house^H1004 was still upward^H4605, and so increased^H5927^(H8799) from the lowest^H8481 chamber to the highest^H5945 by the midst^H8484.

⁸ I saw also that the house had a raised base all around. The foundations of the side rooms were a full reed of six great cubits.

KJVI saw^H7200^(H8804) also the height^H1363 of the house^H1004 round about^H5439: the foundations^H4328 of the side chambers^H6763 were a full^H4393 reed^H7070 of six^H8337 great^H679 cubits^H520.

⁹ The thickness of the outer wall of the side rooms was five cubits. That which was left was the place of the side rooms that belonged to the house.

KJVThe thickness^H7341 of the wall^H7023, which was for the side chamber^H6763 without^H2351, was five^H2568 cubits^H520: and that which was left^H3240^(H8716) was the place^H1004 of the side chambers^H6763 that were within^H1004.

¹⁰ Between the rooms was a width of twenty cubits around the house on every side.

KJVAnd between the chambers^H3957 was the wideness^H7341 of twenty^H6242 cubits^H520 round about^H5439 the house^H1004 on every side^H5439.

¹¹ The doors of the side rooms were toward an open area that was left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south. The width of the open area was five cubits all around.

KJVAnd the doors^H6607 of the side chambers^H6763 were toward the place that was left^H3240^(H8716), one^H259 door^H6607 toward^H1870 the north^H6828, and another^H259 door^H6607 toward the south^H1864: and the breadth^H7341 of the place^H4725 that was left^H3240^(H8716) was five^H2568 cubits^H520 round about^H5439.

¹² The building that was before the separate place at the side toward the west was seventy cubits wide; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick all around, and its length ninety cubits.

KJVNow the building^H1146 that was before^H6440 the separate place^H1508 at the end^H6285 toward^H1870 the west^H3220 was seventy^H7657 cubits^H520 broad^H7341; and the wall^H7023 of the building^H1146 was five^H2568 cubits^H520 thick^H7341 round about^H5439, and the length^H753 thereof ninety^H8673 cubits^H520.

¹³ So he measured the temple, one hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with its walls, one hundred cubits long;

¹⁴ also the width of the face of the temple, and of the separate place toward the east, one hundred cubits.

KJVAlso the breadth^H7341 of the face^H6440 of the house^H1004, and of the separate place^H1508 toward the east^H6921, an hundred^H3967 cubits^H520.

¹⁵ He measured the length of the building before the separate place which was at its back, and its galleries on the one side and on the other side, one hundred cubits from the inner temple, and the porches of the court,

KJVAnd he measured^H4058^(H8804) the length^H753 of the building^H1146 over against^H6440 the separate place^H1508 which was behind^H310 it, and the galleries^H862 thereof on the one side and on the other side, an hundred^H3967 cubits^H520, with the inner^H6442 temple^H1964, and the porches^H197 of the court^H2691;

¹⁶ the thresholds, and the closed windows, and the galleries around on their three stories, opposite the threshold, with wood ceilings all around, and from the ground up to the windows, (now the windows were covered),

KJVThe door posts^H5592, and the narrow^H331^(H8801) windows^H2474, and the galleries^H862 round about^H5439 on their three stories^H7969, over against^H5048 the door^H5592, cieled^H7824 with wood^H6086 round about^H5439, and from the ground^H776 up to the windows^H2474, and the windows^H2474 were covered^H3680^(H8794);

¹⁷ to the space above the door, even to the inner house, and outside, and by all the wall all around inside and outside, by measure.

KJVTo that above the door^H6607, even unto the inner^H6442 house^H1004, and without^H2351, and by all the wall^H7023 round about^H5439 within^H6442 and without^H2435, by measure^H4060.

¹⁸ It was made with cherubim and palm trees. A palm tree was between cherub and cherub, and every cherub had two faces,

KJVAnd it was made^H6213^(H8803) with cherubims^H3742 and palm trees^H8561, so that a palm tree^H8561 was between a cherub^H3742 and a cherub^H3742; and every cherub^H3742 had two^H8147 faces^H6440;

¹⁹ so that there was the face of a man toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side. It was made like this through all the house all around.

KJVSo that the face^H6440 of a man^H120 was toward the palm tree^H8561 on the one side, and the face^H6440 of a young lion^H3715 toward the palm tree^H8561 on the other side: it was made^H6213^(H8803) through all the house^H1004 round about^H5439.

²⁰ Cherubim and palm trees were made from the ground to above the door. The wall of the temple was like this.

KJVFrom the ground^H776 unto above the door^H6607 were cherubims^H3742 and palm trees^H8561 made^H6213^(H8803), and on the wall^H7023 of the temple^H1964.

²¹ The door posts of the nave were squared. As for the face of the nave, its appearance was as the appearance of the temple.

KJVThe posts^H4201 of the temple^H1964 were squared^H7251^(H8803), and the face^H6440 of the sanctuary^H6944; the appearance^H4758 of the one as the appearance^H4758 of the other.

²² The altar was of wood, three cubits high, and its length two cubits. Its corners, its base, and its walls were of wood. He said to me, “This is the table that is before Yahweh.”

KJVThe altar^H4196 of wood^H6086 was three^H7969 cubits^H520 high^H1364, and the length^H753 thereof two^H8147 cubits^H520; and the corners^H4740 thereof, and the length^H753 thereof, and the walls^H7023 thereof, were of wood^H6086: and he said^H1696^(H8762) unto me, This is the table^H7979 that is before^H6440 the LORD^H3068.

²³ The temple and the sanctuary had two doors.

KJVAnd the temple^H1964 and the sanctuary^H6944 had two^H8147 doors^H1817.

²⁴ The doors had two leaves each, two turning leaves: two for the one door, and two leaves for the other.

KJVAnd the doors^H1817 had two^H8147 leaves^H1817 apiece, two^H8147 turning^H4142^(H8716) leaves^H1817; two^H8147 leaves for the one^H259 door^H1817, and two^H8147 leaves^H1817 for the other^H312 door.

²⁵ There were made on them, on the doors of the nave, cherubim and palm trees, like those made on the walls. There was a threshold of wood on the face of the porch outside.

KJVAnd there were made^H6213^(H8803) on them, on the doors^H1817 of the temple^H1964, cherubims^H3742 and palm trees^H8561, like as were made^H6213^(H8803) upon the walls^H7023; and there were thick^H5646 planks^H6086 upon the face^H6440 of the porch^H197 without^H2351.

²⁶ There were closed windows and palm trees on the one side and on the other side, on the sides of the porch. This is how the side rooms of the temple and the thresholds were arranged.

KJVAnd there were narrow^H331^(H8801) windows^H2474 and palm trees^H8561 on the one side and on the other side, on the sides^H3802 of the porch^H197, and upon the side chambers^H6763 of the house^H1004, and thick planks^H5646.
