¹Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

KJVMoreover the word^H1697 of the LORD^H3068 came unto me, saying^H559^(H8800),

² “You, son of man, the Lord Yahweh says to the land of Israel, ‘An end! The end has come on the four corners of the land.

KJVAlso, thou son^H1121 of man^H120, thus saith^H559^(H8804) the Lord^H136 GOD^H3069 unto the land^H127 of Israel^H3478; An end^H7093, the end^H7093 is come^H935^(H8804) upon the four^H702 corners^H3671 of the land^H776.

³ Now the end is on you, and I will send my anger on you, and will judge you according to your ways. I will bring on you all your abominations.

KJVNow is the end^H7093 come upon thee, and I will send^H7971^(H8765) mine anger^H639 upon thee, and will judge^H8199^(H8804) thee according to thy ways^H1870, and will recompense^H5414^(H8804) upon thee all thine abominations^H8441.

⁴ My eye will not spare you, neither will I have pity; but I will bring your ways on you, and your abominations will be among you. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.’

⁵ “The Lord Yahweh says: ‘A disaster! A unique disaster! Behold, it comes.

KJVThus saith^H559^(H8804) the Lord^H136 GOD^H3069; An evil^H7451, an only^H259 evil^H7451, behold, is come^H935^(H8802).

⁶ An end has come. The end has come! It awakes against you. Behold, it comes.

KJVAn end^H7093 is come^H935^(H8804), the end^H7093 is come^H935^(H8804): it watcheth^H6974^(H8689) for thee; behold, it is come^H935^(H8802).

⁷ Your doom has come to you, inhabitant of the land! The time has come! The day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting, on the mountains.

KJVThe morning^H6843 is come^H935^(H8804) unto thee, O thou that dwellest^H3427^(H8802) in the land^H776: the time^H6256 is come^H935^(H8804)^(H8676)^H935^(H8802), the day^H3117 of trouble^H4103 is near^H7138, and not the sounding again^H1906 of the mountains^H2022.

⁸ Now I will shortly pour out my wrath on you, and accomplish my anger against you, and will judge you according to your ways. I will bring on you all your abominations.

KJVNow will I shortly^H7138 pour out^H8210^(H8799) my fury^H2534 upon thee, and accomplish^H3615^(H8765) mine anger^H639 upon thee: and I will judge^H8199^(H8804) thee according to thy ways^H1870, and will recompense^H5414^(H8804) thee for all thine abominations^H8441.

⁹ My eye won’t spare, neither will I have pity. I will punish you according to your ways. Your abominations will be among you. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, strike.

¹⁰ “‘Behold, the day! Behold, it comes! Your doom has gone out. The rod has blossomed. Pride has budded.

KJVBehold the day^H3117, behold, it is come^H935^(H8802): the morning^H6843 is gone forth^H3318^(H8804); the rod^H4294 hath blossomed^H6692^(H8804), pride^H2087 hath budded^H6524^(H8804).

¹¹ Violence has risen up into a rod of wickedness. None of them will remain, nor of their multitude, nor of their wealth. There will be nothing of value among them.

KJVViolence^H2555 is risen up^H6965^(H8804) into a rod^H4294 of wickedness^H7562: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude^H1995, nor of any^H1991 of theirs: neither shall there be wailing^H5089 for them.

¹² The time has come! The day draws near. Don’t let the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is on all its multitude.

¹³ For the seller won’t return to that which is sold, although they are still alive; for the vision concerns the whole multitude of it. None will return. None will strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

KJVFor the seller^H4376^(H8802) shall not return^H7725^(H8799) to that which is sold^H4465, although they were yet alive^H2416: for the vision^H2377 is touching the whole multitude^H1995 thereof, which shall not return^H7725^(H8799); neither shall any^H376 strengthen^H2388^(H8691) himself in the iniquity^H5771 of his life^H2416.

¹⁴ They have blown the trumpet, and have made all ready; but no one goes to the battle, for my wrath is on all its multitude.

KJVThey have blown^H8628^(H8804) the trumpet^H8619, even to make all ready^H3559^(H8687); but none goeth^H1980^(H8802) to the battle^H4421: for my wrath^H2740 is upon all the multitude^H1995 thereof.

¹⁵ “‘The sword is outside, and the pestilence and the famine within. He who is in the field will die by the sword. He who is in the city will be devoured by famine and pestilence.

KJVThe sword^H2719 is without^H2351, and the pestilence^H1698 and the famine^H7458 within^H1004: he that is in the field^H7704 shall die^H4191^(H8799) with the sword^H2719; and he that is in the city^H5892, famine^H7458 and pestilence^H1698 shall devour^H398^(H8799) him.

¹⁶ But of those who escape, they will escape and will be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, everyone in his iniquity.

KJVBut they that escape^H6403^(H8804) of them shall escape^H6412, and shall be on the mountains^H2022 like doves^H3123 of the valleys^H1516, all of them mourning^H1993^(H8802), every one^H376 for his iniquity^H5771.

¹⁷ All hands will be feeble, and all knees will be weak as water.

KJVAll hands^H3027 shall be feeble^H7503^(H8799), and all knees^H1290 shall be weak^H3212^(H8799) as water^H4325.

¹⁸ They will also clothe themselves with sackcloth, and horror will cover them. Shame will be on all faces, and baldness on all their heads.

KJVThey shall also gird^H2296^(H8804) themselves with sackcloth^H8242, and horror^H6427 shall cover^H3680^(H8765) them; and shame^H955 shall be upon all faces^H6440, and baldness^H7144 upon all their heads^H7218.

¹⁹ They will cast their silver in the streets, and their gold will be as an unclean thing. Their silver and their gold won’t be able to deliver them in the day of Yahweh’s wrath. They won’t satisfy their souls or fill their bellies; because it has been the stumbling block of their iniquity.

KJVThey shall cast^H7993^(H8686) their silver^H3701 in the streets^H2351, and their gold^H2091 shall be removed^H5079: their silver^H3701 and their gold^H2091 shall not be able^H3201^(H8799) to deliver^H5337^(H8687) them in the day^H3117 of the wrath^H5678 of the LORD^H3068: they shall not satisfy^H7646^(H8762) their souls^H5315, neither fill^H4390^(H8762) their bowels^H4578: because it is the stumblingblock^H4383 of their iniquity^H5771.

²⁰ As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty; but they made the images of their abominations and their detestable things therein. Therefore I have made it to them as an unclean thing.

²¹ I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a plunder; and they will profane it.

²² I will also turn my face from them, and they will profane my secret place. Robbers will enter into it, and profane it.

²³ “‘Make chains, for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.

KJVMake^H6213^(H8798) a chain^H7569: for the land^H776 is full^H4390^(H8804) of bloody^H1818 crimes^H4941, and the city^H5892 is full^H4390^(H8804) of violence^H2555.

²⁴ Therefore I will bring the worst of the nations, and they will possess their houses. I will also make the pride of the strong to cease. Their holy places will be profaned.

²⁵ Destruction comes! They will seek peace, and there will be none.

²⁶ Mischief will come on mischief, and rumor will be on rumor. They will seek a vision of the prophet; but the law will perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders.

KJVMischief^H1943 shall come^H935^(H8799) upon mischief^H1943, and rumour^H8052 shall be upon rumour^H8052; then shall they seek^H1245^(H8765) a vision^H2377 of the prophet^H5030; but the law^H8451 shall perish^H6^(H8799) from the priest^H3548, and counsel^H6098 from the ancients^H2205.

²⁷ The king will mourn, and the prince will be clothed with desolation. The hands of the people of the land will be troubled. I will do to them after their way, and according to their own judgments I will judge them. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.’”

¹Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

² “Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy to them,

KJVSon^H1121 of man^H120, set^H7760^(H8798) thy face^H6440 toward the mountains^H2022 of Israel^H3478, and prophesy^H5012^(H8734) against them,

³ and say, ‘You mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Yahweh! The Lord Yahweh says to the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys: “Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword on you, and I will destroy your high places.

KJVAnd say^H559^(H8804), Ye mountains^H2022 of Israel^H3478, hear^H8085^(H8798) the word^H1697 of the Lord^H136 GOD^H3069; Thus saith^H559^(H8804) the Lord^H136 GOD^H3069 to the mountains^H2022, and to the hills^H1389, to the rivers^H650, and to the valleys^H1516; Behold, I, even I, will bring^H935^(H8688) a sword^H2719 upon you, and I will destroy^H6^(H8765) your high places^H1116.

⁴ Your altars will become desolate, and your incense altars will be broken. I will cast down your slain men before your idols.

⁵ I will lay the dead bodies of the children of Israel before their idols. I will scatter your bones around your altars.

⁶ In all your dwelling places, the cities will be laid waste and the high places will be desolate, so that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your incense altars may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

⁸ “‘“Yet I will leave a remnant, in that you will have some that escape the sword among the nations, when you are scattered through the countries.

KJVYet will I leave a remnant^H3498^(H8689), that ye may have some that shall escape^H6412 the sword^H2719 among the nations^H1471, when ye shall be scattered^H2219^(H8736) through the countries^H776.

⁹ Those of you that escape will remember me among the nations where they are carried captive, how I have been broken with their lewd heart, which has departed from me, and with their eyes, which play the prostitute after their idols. Then they will loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

¹⁰ They will know that I am Yahweh. I have not said in vain that I would do this evil to them.”’

¹¹ “The Lord Yahweh says: ‘Strike with your hand, and stamp with your foot, and say, “Alas!”, because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel; for they will fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

KJVThus saith^H559^(H8804) the Lord^H136 GOD^H3069; Smite^H5221^(H8685) with thine hand^H3709, and stamp^H7554^(H8798) with thy foot^H7272, and say^H559^(H8798), Alas^H253 for all the evil^H7451 abominations^H8441 of the house^H1004 of Israel^H3478! for they shall fall^H5307^(H8799) by the sword^H2719, by the famine^H7458, and by the pestilence^H1698.

¹² He who is far off will die of the pestilence. He who is near will fall by the sword. He who remains and is besieged will die by the famine. Thus I will accomplish my wrath on them.

¹³ You will know that I am Yahweh when their slain men are among their idols around their altars, on every high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, under every green tree, and under every thick oak—the places where they offered pleasant aroma to all their idols.

¹⁴ I will stretch out my hand on them and make the land desolate and waste, from the wilderness toward Diblah, throughout all their habitations. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.’”
