¹Then again I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.

² He said to me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.”

KJVAnd he said^H559^(H8799) unto me, What seest^H7200^(H8802) thou? And I answered^H559^(H8799), I see^H7200^(H8802) a flying^H5774^(H8802) roll^H4039; the length^H753 thereof is twenty^H6242 cubits^H520, and the breadth^H7341 thereof ten^H6235 cubits^H520.

³ Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land, for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side.

KJVThen said^H559^(H8799) he unto me, This is the curse^H423 that goeth forth^H3318^(H8802) over the face^H6440 of the whole earth^H776: for every one that stealeth^H1589^(H8802) shall be cut off^H5352^(H8738) as on this side according^H3644 to it; and every one that sweareth^H7650^(H8737) shall be cut off^H5352^(H8738) as on that side according^H3644 to it.

⁴ I will cause it to go out,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it will remain in the middle of his house, and will destroy it with its timber and its stones.”

KJVI will bring it forth^H3318^(H8689), saith^H5002^(H8803) the LORD^H3068 of hosts^H6635, and it shall enter^H935^(H8804) into the house^H1004 of the thief^H1590, and into the house^H1004 of him that sweareth^H7650^(H8737) falsely^H8267 by my name^H8034: and it shall remain^H3885^(H8804) in the midst^H8432 of his house^H1004, and shall consume^H3615^(H8765) it with the timber^H6086 thereof and the stones^H68 thereof.

⁵ Then the angel who talked with me came forward and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that is appearing.”

⁶ I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is the ephah basket that is appearing.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance in all the land—

KJVAnd I said^H559^(H8799), What is it? And he said^H559^(H8799), This is an ephah^H374 that goeth forth^H3318^(H8802). He said^H559^(H8799) moreover, This is their resemblance^H5869 through all the earth^H776.

⁷ and behold, a lead cover weighing one talent was lifted up—and there was a woman sitting in the middle of the ephah basket.”

KJVAnd, behold, there was lifted up^H5375^(H8738) a talent^H3603 of lead^H5777: and this is a^H259 woman^H802 that sitteth^H3427^(H8802) in the midst^H8432 of the ephah^H374.

⁸ He said, “This is Wickedness;” and he threw her down into the middle of the ephah basket; and he threw the lead weight on its mouth.

KJVAnd he said^H559^(H8799), This is wickedness^H7564. And he cast^H7993^(H8686) it into the midst^H8432 of the ephah^H374; and he cast^H7993^(H8686) the weight^H68 of lead^H5777 upon the mouth^H6310 thereof.

⁹ Then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, there were two women; and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah basket between earth and the sky.

KJVThen lifted I up^H5375^(H8799) mine eyes^H5869, and looked^H7200^(H8799), and, behold, there came out^H3318^(H8802) two^H8147 women^H802, and the wind^H7307 was in their wings^H3671; for they had^H2007 wings^H3671 like the wings^H3671 of a stork^H2624: and they lifted up^H5375^(H8799) the ephah^H374 between the earth^H776 and the heaven^H8064.

¹⁰ Then I said to the angel who talked with me, “Where are these carrying the ephah basket?”

KJVThen said^H559^(H8799) I to the angel^H4397 that talked^H1696^(H8802) with me, Whither do these bear^H3212^(H8688) the ephah^H374?

¹¹ He said to me, “To build her a house in the land of Shinar. When it is prepared, she will be set there in her own place.”

KJVAnd he said^H559^(H8799) unto me, To build^H1129^(H8800) it an house^H1004 in the land^H776 of Shinar^H8152: and it shall be established^H3559^(H8717), and set^H3240^(H8717) there upon her own base^H4369.

¹The angel who talked with me came again and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep.

² He said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I have seen, and behold, a lamp stand all of gold, with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven lamps on it; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps which are on the top of it;

KJVAnd said^H559^(H8799) unto me, What seest^H7200^(H8802) thou? And I said^H559^(H8799), I have looked^H7200^(H8804), and behold a candlestick^H4501 all of gold^H2091, with a bowl^H1531 upon the top^H7218 of it, and his seven^H7651 lamps^H5216 thereon, and seven^H7651 pipes^H4166 to the seven^H7651 lamps^H5216, which are upon the top^H7218 thereof:

³ and two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl, and the other on the left side of it.”

KJVAnd two^H8147 olive trees^H2132 by it, one^H259 upon the right^H3225 side of the bowl^H1543, and the other^H259 upon the left^H8040 side thereof.

⁴ I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”

KJVSo I answered^H6030^(H8799) and spake^H559^(H8799) to the angel^H4397 that talked^H1696^(H8802) with me, saying^H559^(H8800), What are these, my lord^H113?

⁵ Then the angel who talked with me answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.”

KJVThen the angel^H4397 that talked^H1696^(H8802) with me answered^H6030^(H8799) and said^H559^(H8799) unto me, Knowest^H3045^(H8804) thou not what these be? And I said^H559^(H8799), No, my lord^H113.

⁶ Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is Yahweh’s word to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yahweh of Armies.

KJVThen he answered^H6030^(H8799) and spake^H559^(H8799) unto me, saying^H559^(H8800), This is the word^H1697 of the LORD^H3068 unto Zerubbabel^H2216, saying^H559^(H8800), Not by might^H2428, nor by power^H3581, but by my spirit^H7307, saith^H559^(H8804) the LORD^H3068 of hosts^H6635.

⁷ Who are you, great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you are a plain; and he will bring out the capstone with shouts of ‘Grace, grace, to it!’”

KJVWho art thou, O great^H1419 mountain^H2022? before^H6440 Zerubbabel^H2216 thou shalt become a plain^H4334: and he shall bring forth^H3318^(H8689) the headstone^H68^H7222 thereof with shoutings^H8663, crying, Grace^H2580, grace^H2580 unto it.

⁸ Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

⁹ “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house. His hands shall also finish it; and you will know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you.

KJVThe hands^H3027 of Zerubbabel^H2216 have laid the foundation^H3245^(H8765) of this house^H1004; his hands^H3027 shall also finish^H1214^(H8762) it; and thou shalt know^H3045^(H8804) that the LORD^H3068 of hosts^H6635 hath sent^H7971^(H8804) me unto you.

¹⁰ Indeed, who despises the day of small things? For these seven shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. These are Yahweh’s eyes, which run back and forth through the whole earth.”

KJVFor who hath despised^H936^(H8804) the day^H3117 of small things^H6996? for they shall rejoice^H8055^(H8804), and shall see^H7200^(H8804) the plummet^H68^H913 in the hand^H3027 of Zerubbabel^H2216 with those seven^H7651; they are the eyes^H5869 of the LORD^H3068, which run to and fro^H7751^(H8789) through the whole earth^H776.

¹¹ Then I asked him, “What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lamp stand and on the left side of it?”

KJVThen answered^H6030^(H8799) I, and said^H559^(H8799) unto him, What are these two^H8147 olive trees^H2132 upon the right^H3225 side of the candlestick^H4501 and upon the left^H8040 side thereof?

¹² I asked him the second time, “What are these two olive branches, which are beside the two golden spouts that pour the golden oil out of themselves?”

KJVAnd I answered^H6030^(H8799) again^H8145, and said^H559^(H8799) unto him, What be these two^H8147 olive^H2132 branches^H7641 which through^H3027 the two^H8147 golden^H2091 pipes^H6804 empty^H7324^(H8688) the golden^H2091 oil out of themselves?

¹³ He answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.”

KJVAnd he answered^H559^(H8799) me and said^H559^(H8800), Knowest^H3045^(H8804) thou not what these be? And I said^H559^(H8799), No, my lord^H113.

¹⁴ Then he said, “These are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”

KJVThen said^H559^(H8799) he, These are the two^H8147 anointed^H3323 ones^H1121, that stand^H5975^(H8802) by the Lord^H113 of the whole earth^H776.
