¹Again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of bronze.

² In the first chariot were red horses. In the second chariot were black horses.

KJVIn the first^H7223 chariot^H4818 were red^H122 horses^H5483; and in the second^H8145 chariot^H4818 black^H7838 horses^H5483;

³ In the third chariot were white horses. In the fourth chariot were dappled horses, all of them powerful.

KJVAnd in the third^H7992 chariot^H4818 white^H3836 horses^H5483; and in the fourth^H7243 chariot^H4818 grisled^H1261 and bay^H554 horses^H5483.

⁴ Then I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”

KJVThen I answered^H6030^(H8799) and said^H559^(H8799) unto the angel^H4397 that talked^H1696^(H8802) with me, What are these, my lord^H113?

⁵ The angel answered me, “These are the four winds of the sky, which go out from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

KJVAnd the angel^H4397 answered^H6030^(H8799) and said^H559^(H8799) unto me, These are the four^H702 spirits^H7307 of the heavens^H8064, which go forth^H3318^(H8802) from standing^H3320^(H8692) before the Lord^H113 of all the earth^H776.

⁶ The one with the black horses goes out toward the north country; and the white went out after them; and the dappled went out toward the south country.”

KJVThe black^H7838 horses^H5483 which are therein go forth^H3318^(H8802) into the north^H6828 country^H776; and the white^H3836 go forth^H3318^(H8804) after^H310 them; and the grisled^H1261 go forth^H3318^(H8804) toward the south^H8486 country^H776.

⁷ The strong went out, and sought to go that they might walk back and forth through the earth. He said, “Go around and through the earth!” So they walked back and forth through the earth.

⁸ Then he called to me, and spoke to me, saying, “Behold, those who go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.”

⁹ Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

¹⁰ “Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah; and come the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, where they have come from Babylon.

KJVTake^H3947^(H8800) of them of the captivity^H1473, even of Heldai^H2469, of Tobijah^H2900, and of Jedaiah^H3048, which are come^H935^(H8804) from Babylon^H894, and come^H935^(H8804) thou the same day^H3117, and go^H935^(H8804) into the house^H1004 of Josiah^H2977 the son^H1121 of Zephaniah^H6846;

¹¹ Yes, take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;

¹² and speak to him, saying, ‘Yahweh of Armies says, “Behold, the man whose name is the Branch! He will grow up out of his place; and he will build Yahweh’s temple.

KJVAnd speak^H559^(H8804) unto him, saying^H559^(H8800), Thus speaketh^H559^(H8804) the LORD^H3068 of hosts^H6635, saying^H559^(H8800), Behold the man^H376 whose name^H8034 is The BRANCH^H6780; and he shall grow up^H6779^(H8799) out of his place, and he shall build^H1129^(H8804) the temple^H1964 of the LORD^H3068:

¹³ He will build Yahweh’s temple. He will bear the glory, and will sit and rule on his throne. He will be a priest on his throne. The counsel of peace will be between them both.

KJVEven he shall build^H1129^(H8799) the temple^H1964 of the LORD^H3068; and he shall bear^H5375^(H8799) the glory^H1935, and shall sit^H3427^(H8804) and rule^H4910^(H8804) upon his throne^H3678; and he shall be a priest^H3548 upon his throne^H3678: and the counsel^H6098 of peace^H7965 shall be between them both^H8147.

¹⁴ The crowns shall be to Helem, to Tobijah, to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in Yahweh’s temple.

KJVAnd the crowns^H5850 shall be to Helem^H2494, and to Tobijah^H2900, and to Jedaiah^H3048, and to Hen^H2581 the son^H1121 of Zephaniah^H6846, for a memorial^H2146 in the temple^H1964 of the LORD^H3068.

¹⁵ Those who are far off shall come and build in Yahweh’s temple; and you shall know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen, if you will diligently obey Yahweh your God’s voice.”’”

KJVAnd they that are far off^H7350 shall come^H935^(H8799) and build^H1129^(H8804) in the temple^H1964 of the LORD^H3068, and ye shall know^H3045^(H8804) that the LORD^H3068 of hosts^H6635 hath sent^H7971^(H8804) me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently^H8085^(H8800) obey^H8085^(H8799) the voice^H6963 of the LORD^H3068 your God^H430.

¹Then again I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.

² He said to me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.”

KJVAnd he said^H559^(H8799) unto me, What seest^H7200^(H8802) thou? And I answered^H559^(H8799), I see^H7200^(H8802) a flying^H5774^(H8802) roll^H4039; the length^H753 thereof is twenty^H6242 cubits^H520, and the breadth^H7341 thereof ten^H6235 cubits^H520.

³ Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land, for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side.

KJVThen said^H559^(H8799) he unto me, This is the curse^H423 that goeth forth^H3318^(H8802) over the face^H6440 of the whole earth^H776: for every one that stealeth^H1589^(H8802) shall be cut off^H5352^(H8738) as on this side according^H3644 to it; and every one that sweareth^H7650^(H8737) shall be cut off^H5352^(H8738) as on that side according^H3644 to it.

⁴ I will cause it to go out,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it will remain in the middle of his house, and will destroy it with its timber and its stones.”

KJVI will bring it forth^H3318^(H8689), saith^H5002^(H8803) the LORD^H3068 of hosts^H6635, and it shall enter^H935^(H8804) into the house^H1004 of the thief^H1590, and into the house^H1004 of him that sweareth^H7650^(H8737) falsely^H8267 by my name^H8034: and it shall remain^H3885^(H8804) in the midst^H8432 of his house^H1004, and shall consume^H3615^(H8765) it with the timber^H6086 thereof and the stones^H68 thereof.

⁵ Then the angel who talked with me came forward and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that is appearing.”

⁶ I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is the ephah basket that is appearing.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance in all the land—

KJVAnd I said^H559^(H8799), What is it? And he said^H559^(H8799), This is an ephah^H374 that goeth forth^H3318^(H8802). He said^H559^(H8799) moreover, This is their resemblance^H5869 through all the earth^H776.

⁷ and behold, a lead cover weighing one talent was lifted up—and there was a woman sitting in the middle of the ephah basket.”

KJVAnd, behold, there was lifted up^H5375^(H8738) a talent^H3603 of lead^H5777: and this is a^H259 woman^H802 that sitteth^H3427^(H8802) in the midst^H8432 of the ephah^H374.

⁸ He said, “This is Wickedness;” and he threw her down into the middle of the ephah basket; and he threw the lead weight on its mouth.

KJVAnd he said^H559^(H8799), This is wickedness^H7564. And he cast^H7993^(H8686) it into the midst^H8432 of the ephah^H374; and he cast^H7993^(H8686) the weight^H68 of lead^H5777 upon the mouth^H6310 thereof.

⁹ Then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, there were two women; and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah basket between earth and the sky.

¹⁰ Then I said to the angel who talked with me, “Where are these carrying the ephah basket?”

KJVThen said^H559^(H8799) I to the angel^H4397 that talked^H1696^(H8802) with me, Whither do these bear^H3212^(H8688) the ephah^H374?

¹¹ He said to me, “To build her a house in the land of Shinar. When it is prepared, she will be set there in her own place.”

KJVAnd he said^H559^(H8799) unto me, To build^H1129^(H8800) it an house^H1004 in the land^H776 of Shinar^H8152: and it shall be established^H3559^(H8717), and set^H3240^(H8717) there upon her own base^H4369.
