WEB·Numbers 9
1Yahweh spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
KJVAnd the LORDH3068 spakeH1696(H8762) unto MosesH4872 in the wildernessH4057 of SinaiH5514, in the firstH7223 monthH2320 of the secondH8145 yearH8141 after they were come outH3318(H8800) of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, sayingH559(H8800),
2 “Let the children of Israel keep the Passover in its appointed season.
KJVLet the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 also keepH6213(H8799) the passoverH6453 at his appointed seasonH4150.
3 On the fourteenth day of this month, at evening, you shall keep it in its appointed season. You shall keep it according to all its statutes and according to all its ordinances.”
KJVIn the fourteenthH702H6240 dayH3117 of this monthH2320, at evenH6153, ye shall keepH6213(H8799) it in his appointed seasonH4150: according to all the ritesH2708 of it, and according to all the ceremoniesH4941 thereof, shall ye keepH6213(H8799) it.
4 Moses told the children of Israel that they should keep the Passover.
KJVAnd MosesH4872 spakeH1696(H8762) unto the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, that they should keepH6213(H8800) the passoverH6453.
5 They kept the Passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, in the wilderness of Sinai. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did.
KJVAnd they keptH6213(H8799) the passoverH6453 on the fourteenthH702H6240 dayH3117 of the firstH7223 monthH2320 at evenH6153 in the wildernessH4057 of SinaiH5514: according to all that the LORDH3068 commandedH6680(H8765) MosesH4872, so didH6213(H8804) the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478.
6 There were certain men who were unclean because of the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day, and they came before Moses and Aaron on that day.
KJVAnd there were certain menH582, who were defiledH2931 by the dead bodyH5315 of a manH120, that they couldH3201(H8804) not keepH6213(H8800) the passoverH6453 on that dayH3117: and they cameH7126(H8799) beforeH6440 MosesH4872 and beforeH6440 AaronH175 on that dayH3117:
7 Those men said to him, “We are unclean because of the dead body of a man. Why are we kept back, that we may not offer the offering of Yahweh in its appointed season among the children of Israel?”
KJVAnd thoseH1992 menH582 saidH559(H8799) unto him, We are defiledH2931 by the dead bodyH5315 of a manH120: wherefore are we kept backH1639(H8735), that we may not offerH7126(H8687) an offeringH7133 of the LORDH3068 in his appointed seasonH4150 amongH8432 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478?
8 Moses answered them, “Wait, that I may hear what Yahweh will command concerning you.”
KJVAnd MosesH4872 saidH559(H8799) unto them, Stand stillH5975(H8798), and I will hearH8085(H8799) what the LORDH3068 will commandH6680(H8762) concerning you.
9 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
KJVAnd the LORDH3068 spakeH1696(H8762) unto MosesH4872, sayingH559(H8800),
10 “Say to the children of Israel, ‘If any man of you or of your generations is unclean by reason of a dead body, or is on a journey far away, he shall still keep the Passover to Yahweh.
KJVSpeakH1696(H8761) unto the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559(H8800), If anyH376 manH376 of you or of your posterityH1755 shall be uncleanH2931 by reason of a dead bodyH5315, or be in a journeyH1870 afar offH7350, yet he shall keepH6213(H8804) the passoverH6453 unto the LORDH3068.
11 In the second month, on the fourteenth day at evening they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
KJVThe fourteenthH702H6240 dayH3117 of the secondH8145 monthH2320 at evenH6153 they shall keepH6213(H8799) it, and eatH398(H8799) it with unleavened breadH4682 and bitterH4844 herbs.
12 They shall leave none of it until the morning, nor break a bone of it. According to all the statute of the Passover they shall keep it.
KJVThey shall leaveH7604(H8686) none of it unto the morningH1242, nor breakH7665(H8799) any boneH6106 of it: according to all the ordinancesH2708 of the passoverH6453 they shall keepH6213(H8799) it.
13 But the man who is clean, and is not on a journey, and fails to keep the Passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people. Because he didn’t offer the offering of Yahweh in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.
KJVBut the manH376 that is cleanH2889, and is not in a journeyH1870, and forbearethH2308(H8804) to keepH6213(H8800) the passoverH6453, even the same soulH5315 shall be cut offH3772(H8738) from among his peopleH5971: because he broughtH7126(H8689) not the offeringH7133 of the LORDH3068 in his appointed seasonH4150, that manH376 shall bearH5375(H8799) his sinH2399.
14 “‘If a foreigner lives among you and desires to keep the Passover to Yahweh, then he shall do so according to the statute of the Passover, and according to its ordinance. You shall have one statute, both for the foreigner and for him who is born in the land.’”
KJVAnd if a strangerH1616 shall sojournH1481(H8799) among you, and will keepH6213(H8804) the passoverH6453 unto the LORDH3068; according to the ordinanceH2708 of the passoverH6453, and according to the mannerH4941 thereof, so shall he doH6213(H8799): ye shall have oneH259 ordinanceH2708, both for the strangerH1616, and for him that was bornH249 in the landH776.
15 On the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the Tent of the Testimony. At evening it was over the tabernacle, as it were the appearance of fire, until morning.
KJVAnd on the dayH3117 that the tabernacleH4908 was reared upH6965(H8687) the cloudH6051 coveredH3680(H8765) the tabernacleH4908, namely, the tentH168 of the testimonyH5715: and at evenH6153 there was upon the tabernacleH4908 as it were the appearanceH4758 of fireH784, until the morningH1242.
16 So it was continually. The cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night.
KJVSo it was alwayH8548: the cloudH6051 coveredH3680(H8762) it by day, and the appearanceH4758 of fireH784 by nightH3915.
17 Whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel traveled; and in the place where the cloud remained, there the children of Israel encamped.
KJVAnd whenH6310 the cloudH6051 was taken upH5927(H8736) from the tabernacleH168, then afterH310 that the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 journeyedH5265(H8799): and in the placeH4725 where the cloudH6051 abodeH7931(H8799), there the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 pitched their tentsH2583(H8799).
18 At the commandment of Yahweh, the children of Israel traveled, and at the commandment of Yahweh they encamped. As long as the cloud remained on the tabernacle they remained encamped.
KJVAt the commandmentH6310 of the LORDH3068 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 journeyedH5265(H8799), and at the commandmentH6310 of the LORDH3068 they pitchedH2583(H8799): as long asH3117 the cloudH6051 abodeH7931(H8799) upon the tabernacleH4908 they restedH2583(H8799) in their tents.
19 When the cloud stayed on the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept Yahweh’s command, and didn’t travel.
KJVAnd when the cloudH6051 tarried longH748(H8687) upon the tabernacleH4908 manyH7227 daysH3117, then the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 keptH8104(H8804) the chargeH4931 of the LORDH3068, and journeyedH5265(H8799) not.
20 Sometimes the cloud was a few days on the tabernacle; then according to the commandment of Yahweh they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of Yahweh they traveled.
KJVAnd so it wasH3426, when the cloudH6051 was a fewH4557 daysH3117 upon the tabernacleH4908; according to the commandmentH6310 of the LORDH3068 they abodeH2583(H8799) in their tents, and according to the commandmentH6310 of the LORDH3068 they journeyedH5265(H8799).
21 Sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they traveled; or by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they traveled.
KJVAnd so it wasH3426, when the cloudH6051 abode from evenH6153 unto the morningH1242, and that the cloudH6051 was taken upH5927(H8738) in the morningH1242, then they journeyedH5265(H8804): whether it was by dayH3119 or by nightH3915 that the cloudH6051 was taken upH5927(H8738), they journeyedH5265(H8804).
22 Whether it was two days, or a month, or a year that the cloud stayed on the tabernacle, remaining on it, the children of Israel remained encamped, and didn’t travel; but when it was taken up, they traveled.
KJVOr whether it were two daysH3117, or a monthH2320, or a yearH3117, that the cloudH6051 tarriedH748(H8687) upon the tabernacleH4908, remainingH7931(H8800) thereon, the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 abodeH2583(H8799) in their tents, and journeyedH5265(H8799) not: but when it was taken upH5927(H8736), they journeyedH5265(H8799).
23 At the commandment of Yahweh they encamped, and at the commandment of Yahweh they traveled. They kept Yahweh’s command, at the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.
KJVAt the commandmentH6310 of the LORDH3068 they restedH2583(H8799) in the tents, and at the commandmentH6310 of the LORDH3068 they journeyedH5265(H8799): they keptH8104(H8804) the chargeH4931 of the LORDH3068, at the commandmentH6310 of the LORDH3068 by the handH3027 of MosesH4872.
