1Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, “Keep all the commandment which I command you today.
KJVAnd MosesH4872 with the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478 commandedH6680(H8762) the peopleH5971, sayingH559(H8800), KeepH8104(H8800) all the commandmentsH4687 which I commandH6680(H8764) you this dayH3117.
2 It shall be on the day when you shall pass over the Jordan to the land which Yahweh your God gives you, that you shall set yourself up great stones, and coat them with plaster.
KJVAnd it shall be on the dayH3117 when ye shall pass overH5674(H8799) JordanH3383 unto the landH776 which the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 givethH5414(H8802) thee, that thou shalt set thee upH6965(H8689) greatH1419 stonesH68, and plaisterH7874(H8804) them with plaisterH7875:
3 You shall write on them all the words of this law, when you have passed over, that you may go in to the land which Yahweh your God gives you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
KJVAnd thou shalt writeH3789(H8804) upon them all the wordsH1697 of this lawH8451, when thou art passed overH5674(H8800), that thou mayest go inH935(H8799) unto the landH776 which the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 givethH5414(H8802) thee, a landH776 that flowethH2100(H8802) with milkH2461 and honeyH1706; as the LORDH3068 GodH430 of thy fathersH1 hath promisedH1696(H8765) thee.
4 It shall be, when you have crossed over the Jordan, that you shall set up these stones, which I command you today, on Mount Ebal, and you shall coat them with plaster.
KJVTherefore it shall be when ye be gone overH5674(H8800) JordanH3383, that ye shall set upH6965(H8686) these stonesH68, which I commandH6680(H8764) you this dayH3117, in mountH2022 EbalH5858, and thou shalt plaisterH7875 them with plaisterH7874(H8804).
5 There you shall build an altar to Yahweh your God, an altar of stones. You shall not use any iron tool on them.
KJVAnd there shalt thou buildH1129(H8804) an altarH4196 unto the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, an altarH4196 of stonesH68: thou shalt not lift upH5130(H8686) any ironH1270 tool upon them.
6 You shall build Yahweh your God’s altar of uncut stones. You shall offer burnt offerings on it to Yahweh your God.
KJVThou shalt buildH1129(H8799) the altarH4196 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 of wholeH8003 stonesH68: and thou shalt offerH5927(H8689) burnt offeringsH5930 thereon unto the LORDH3068 thy GodH430:
7 You shall sacrifice peace offerings, and shall eat there. You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God.
KJVAnd thou shalt offerH2076(H8804) peace offeringsH8002, and shalt eatH398(H8804) there, and rejoiceH8055(H8804) beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430.
8 You shall write on the stones all the words of this law very plainly.”

9 Moses and the Levitical priests spoke to all Israel, saying, “Be silent and listen, Israel! Today you have become the people of Yahweh your God.
KJVAnd MosesH4872 and the priestsH3548 the LevitesH3881 spakeH1696(H8762) unto all IsraelH3478, sayingH559(H8800), Take heedH5535(H8685), and hearkenH8085(H8798), O IsraelH3478; this dayH3117 thou art becomeH1961(H8738) the peopleH5971 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430.
10 You shall therefore obey Yahweh your God’s voice, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command you today.”

11 Moses commanded the people the same day, saying,

12 “These shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people, when you have crossed over the Jordan: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin.
KJVThese shall standH5975(H8799) upon mountH2022 GerizimH1630 to blessH1288(H8763) the peopleH5971, when ye are come overH5674(H8800) JordanH3383; SimeonH8095, and LeviH3878, and JudahH3063, and IssacharH3485, and JosephH3130, and BenjaminH1144:
13 These shall stand on Mount Ebal for the curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
KJVAnd these shall standH5975(H8799) upon mountH2022 EbalH5858 to curseH7045; ReubenH7205, GadH1410, and AsherH836, and ZebulunH2074, DanH1835, and NaphtaliH5321.
14 With a loud voice, the Levites shall say to all the men of Israel,
KJVAnd the LevitesH3881 shall speakH6030(H8804), and sayH559(H8804) unto all the menH376 of IsraelH3478 with a loudH7311(H8802) voiceH6963,
15 ‘Cursed is the man who makes an engraved or molten image, an abomination to Yahweh, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ All the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen.’

16 ‘Cursed is he who dishonors his father or his mother.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

17 ‘Cursed is he who removes his neighbor’s landmark.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

18 ‘Cursed is he who leads the blind astray on the road.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

19 ‘Cursed is he who withholds justice from the foreigner, fatherless, and widow.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

20 ‘Cursed is he who lies with his father’s wife, because he dishonors his father’s bed.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

22 ‘Cursed is he who lies with his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

23 ‘Cursed is he who lies with his mother-in-law.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

24 ‘Cursed is he who secretly kills his neighbor.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

25 ‘Cursed is he who takes a bribe to kill an innocent person.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

26 ‘Cursed is he who doesn’t uphold the words of this law by doing them.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’”
