The Eternal Good News
Revelation 14:6-7

The first angel carries the everlasting gospel to the whole world, and its summons is judgment's hour and the Creator worshiped — in the fourth commandment's own words.

Where the eagle at mid-heaven cried woes Revelation 8:13, an angel at the same zenith now carries good news — and the book's last message to the world before the harvest Revelation 14:14 is gospel, not plague. It is eternal — the same good news as always, nothing novel at the end Galatians 1:8 — and its range is the Lamb's full purchase-formula Revelation 5:9: the worldwide proclamation the Lord made the precondition of the end Matthew 24:14, here seen flying. Three angels follow in sequence Revelation 14:8–9 — one final, ordered, global message, carried in the vision by angels and on the ground, as always in this book, by the commissioned witnesses Revelation 10:11 Revelation 11:3.
He said with a loud voice, "Fear the Lord, and give him glory, for the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and the springs of waters!" Revelation 14:7.
Three imperatives and a reason. Fear God, and give him glory — the response the trumpets never extracted Revelation 9:20 and the witnesses' vindication finally drew Revelation 11:13, now commanded of everyone: reverence and acknowledged ownership, the exact glory mankind traded away at the beginning Romans 1:21–23. For the hour of his judgment has come — not is coming: has come; the gospel's last form announces judgment in session — the courtroom of Daniel's vision seated, the books opened Daniel 7:9–10, the measuring of the worshipers under way Revelation 11:1 — good news precisely because the Judge is the Advocate Revelation 1:5.
And the third imperative is the crisis's dividing line: worship him who made — worship, the contested act of the whole central war Revelation 13:4 Revelation 13:15, directed to its one rightful object by his one unanswerable credential: creation Revelation 4:11.
The wording is precise, and its precision is the message: him who made the heaven, the earth, the sea — the fourth commandment's own formula, the reason attached to the Sabbath: for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them... therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day Exodus 20:11. The last call summons the world back to the Creator's own memorial of his making — the sign of allegiance planted in time at creation itself Genesis 2:3 Ezekiel 20:12 — over against the beast's mark and image. Two worships, two signs, one hour: the first angel's message is the seal's side of the choice chapter 13 stated from the mark's side.
