Places of the Bible
Uzal
now Sanaa
Where the name appears
Events told in passages that name Uzal, and how many of their verses do. That is not the same as saying they happened here: a place can be named as a landmark, as somewhere being travelled to, or as the subject of a prophecy.
- Prophecies of Ezekiel · 592 BC · 1 verse
Easton’s Bible Dictionary
A wanderer, a descendant of Joktan (Gen. 10:27; 1 Chr. 1:21), the founder apparently of one of the Arab tribes; the name also probably of the province they occupied and of their chief city.
From M. G. Easton, Illustrated Bible Dictionary (1893), in the public domain.
